Beckett Sinclair doesn’t do complicated.
He trains K-9s at Pawsitive Connections, runs ops with Warrior Security, and keeps his PTSD under control. Until a dead friend’s little sister shows up.
Audra Cartland is jumpy. Exhausted. Sleeping in the equipment shed when she thinks no one’s watching. Beckett knows that look—he’s seen it in combat zones, in victims, in his own mirror.
Someone’s hunting her.
She won’t talk. Won’t explain the fear in her eyes or why she flinches at shadows. But Beckett made a promise to her brother years ago in Afghanistan, and those debts don’t die.
Beckett should walk away. He’s got enough ghosts without taking on hers.
Instead, he arranges a job. A safe place to sleep. His protection.
When the hunter becomes bold enough to strike in his town, on his watch, Beckett stops playing defense. He’s lost too many people already. Failed too many times.
Not Audra. Not this time.
Some battles choose you.

Whew!
A great story with twists and turns. So glad to read Beckett’s story. Eyebrow main characters are damaged but so strong and made for one another. I can’t wait for the next Warrior Security instalment😊
Sooo good!
I was hooked from the very first page to the wonderful story that is book 2 of Warrior Security. Audra Cartland is running for her life, hunted by an invisible enemy, terrified, alone and living hand to mouth trying to stay off the grid she ends up at Garnet Bend drawn there by her late brothers stories of a safe place and his great friend Beck who lives there. She lands up at Pawsitive Connections working cash in hand caring for the animals and discovers Beck also there training K9s. Beckett Sinclair, like Audra, trusts few outside his Warrior Security team, haunted by his last mission he works with the K9s to help keep his PTSD somewhat under control.I loved watching Audra and Beck’s relationship evolve and grow, she’s terrified another person will be hurt because of her and he can’t let himself care and risk losing someone because he’s failed them. Both carrying scars outside and inside, it’s a story of heartbreak and joy and the healing power of animals, especially the gorgeous Jet.Just as she is feeling safer than she has in months her stalker tracks her down again, Audra wants to run again, Beck is determined to hold on to the woman who holds his heart but how do he and the team fight an invisible threat?Great suspense, great love story, I was gripped and invested from start to finish. Love this series probably more than Resting Warrior Ranch Josie Jade doesn’t pull punches with your emotions and her wounded heroes/heroines will wrap themselves round your heart. Totally recommend this book.
4.25 stars.
I liked the character growth in this, the friendships, chosen family, the support, acceptance and understanding. The characters were strong, even when they were vulnerable, that scene with Beckett, his phone and telling Audra what to do really hit me, as did everytime Audra chose to stay and chose to trust. Jet was a total scene stealer and I just loved him so much!Seeing Audra and Beckett come together, learning about and seeing how their lives were already entwined made for good reading, as did the things I didn’t see coming. I have enjoyed reading this and I am looking forward to seeing what will happen next in this series. I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC.
Keep em coming
This story continues the warrior security series and this time it was Beckett who got his HEA. The devastating demons that Beckett was battling was hard at times to read. My heart broke for him. Add Audra into the mix coming to grips with a stalker for 14 months and literally existing on fresh air at times but yet when Beckett and Audra got together they were able to work together and along with the warrior security team worked to capture Audra’s stalker. The book was really well written and I adored Beckett and Audra. For me however the star of the show was Jet. How amazing was he in that in Audra’s time of need Jet knew exactly what to do. One amazing dog. I am so looking forward now to the next book in this wonderful series.
Stalker danger, romance and suspense
Once again these authors have created a suspenseful romance with twists, turns and surprises that keep you hooked. Audra is on the run as someone is stalking her but no one believes her. Brett is a military veteran who trains K-9’s within Warrior Security, who suffers from severe PTSD. They’re linked because she is the sister to one of the men in his unit and he’d made her brother a promise to look out for her. Once the initial characters meet the story picks up a pace and as they become involved the stalker finds her again. There are plenty of surprises, intense danger, with the stalker intent on revenge. An Eye for an Eye!! Will her nightmare ever be over?
Has all the feels and then some
It’s a Resting Warrior Security story, so you know it’s going to be a good read.I could say I loved the interaction between Beckett and Audra true, and how sleekit and devious the stalker was. However for me the star of this story was the attention deficit mutt Jet. You just knew from the moment he set eyes on Audra that his deficiencies wouldn’t matter a jot if she was ever in danger. He definitely stepped up to the plate, and proved when it matters he had what it took.If you love wary characters, bad scary villains and a great backup team offering all the support you could need then this is a must read to be add to your TBR.I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Enjoyed this Warrier Security book
This is the first book that I have read from this author and was booked by the skyline striaght away, and won’t be the last.
Brilliant read
I really enjoyed this book, Audra was an amazing character and I loved her and Beckett together.Jet captured my heart, what a sweetheart but he certainly stood up when needed! The warrior security team were so capable and reassuring, I loved how they instantly went all out to help. Travis is really intriguing me and I can’t wait to hear his story! But I’m all excited for Cooper’s story next.Overall a brilliant read and a book and story I highly recommend.
Love the chatacters, and the dogs just make it better. Very suspenseful, plot twists keep the reader guessing. Of course, HEA, but in a completely unexpected way. Wonderful reading!
Loved this story. Beckett had closed himself off to most people. Great with animals, though. Lark is the best, she knew immediately that Audra needed a “safe” place. Jet is just what Audra needed, too. Enjoy this intriguing adventure! 📚🎉❤️🌻
I enjoyed the novel very much. I loved Audra and Beckett and how they helped each other to deal with the trauma in their lives, past and present. And I especially loved the dogs and how animals give of themselves in so many ways that enrich our lives.
Well written. Fascinating plot line. Loved the focus on healing slowly — people and dogs! Psychological torture subtle at first but built to inevitable climax
Let me tell you this book was action packed. I stayed on the edge of my seat wondering who, how and where this story was going. it was excellent from the beginning to the end. I also love the wedding ceremony in the bonus episode. I can’t wait until Cooper’s book is released
