1TB version, Great, but…..
My experience is only for the 1TB version.For some reasons none of the reviews perform actual real world transfers.In CrystalDiskMark you can see read/writes at 900+ MB/s, but:In the real world, you are looking at 500MB/s to 550MB/s writes copying a large file, assuming you are using a GEN2 port.Reads were generally a little higher at 600MB/s to 750B/s.When connecting using GEN1 you will max out at 400MB/s.I found read/writes were sustainable even when copying 500+ GB in one go. Its gets warm, but not worryingly so.These speeds are still great, but bear this in mind when comparing to other options. This is a USB-C device, not a thunderbolt device.Build quality it above excellent. Packaging is so good you do not want to throw it away.The only issue I had, which may be due to my computer, was that when I swapped between the USB-C port and USB3.1 port on the same computer, the device needed the drivers to be removed, otherwise it only transferred at USB2 speeds.

Such a neat little SS it’s so tiny! I use it as extended storage for my playstation and works a dream. Nicely packaged and presented also.

Tiny and powerful
The Sabrent Rocket Nano arrived in a bespoke metal tin with the SSD packed tightly into a blue foam cut-out, it came with two black connection leads, a USB-C to USB-C and a USB type A to USB-C in the other section of the tin.My first impressions was how small it was fitting easily into the palm of my hand and aseptically the sandblasted aluminium finish looks really nice along with a good solid protection for the internals, the tin case it comes in is a neat presentation box and a storage case if not being used.I hooked it up to the laptop I plan to use this with which is running Windows 10 and has USB 3.0 ports, the Rocket Nano has a built in USB 3.2 so I was aware I would not be able to achieve the maximum speeds capable running from USB 3.2 to USB 3.2 but wanted to get a real true test of the speeds I could expect in circumstances I would be using it in.This is plug and play on Windows 10 so was instantly recognised assigning a drive letter, I ran through several tests using CrystalDiskMark which is accepted as a good simple and reliable disk benchmark software, I ran tests under the default setting, peak performance and a real world peak performance mix, I got very acceptable results across the board with the expected drop of in transfer speeds being perfectly acceptable and allowing for running from USB 3.2 to USB 3.0.Overall a very nice tiny sleek SSD drive, it has a very sturdy aluminium case that not only looks great but gives good protection to the internals, it delivers very acceptable speeds for an external SSD drive and comes in a neat presentation/carry case. I can’t really fault it so have given it top marks.

What a fantastic little hard drive, perfect for storing and transporting, holds so much more than a memory stick it’s an actual hard drive! Sorry I don’t know the technical jargon, however I do know it’s tiny, it stores a huge amount of data, and comes in a very sturdy case. Amazing!!

This is really useful. I can back up all my data, including photos, very quickly and easily. This works with both my husband’s computer as well as my laptop, with no faffing about! It holds a huge amount and saves having to buy an exterior hard drive to do back-ups with. It is very small, easy to hide discreetly in the house, so would probably be secure even if we were unlucky enough to have our pcs stolen. Love it!
To save space on my MacBook Pro I moved my Photos library to an old, spare external HDD which worked well but was slow to read/write and little large to carry between work and home. When I saw this Sabrent ROCKET nano on Amazon it seem like the ideal solution. I haven’t clocked transfer speeds but it seems much faster than the old HDD. It’s advertised as 1000MB/s transfer but doesn’t state if that is read or write or both. I formatted this unit as APFS because I know I will use it exclusively for my Photos library and have had no issue so far. I appreciate that Sabrent includes a USB-C and a USB-A-to-C cable with the nano to ensure immediate use straight out of the box. The tiny form factor is great, only slightly larger, thicker, and heavier than the USB thumb drives that are so ubiquitous on the Web, having an aluminum exterior giving it a sleek, durable, and premium feel. I understand that the use of a metal casing also helps preserve the innards by acting as a passive heat-sink. Pricewise, this offers great value compared to offerings by SanDisk, Samsung, and Corsair. The only reason I gave a 4/5 stars rating is because I cannot vouch for the longevity of this product, having only owned and used it for less than a month. I will change the star rating in the future (up or down) depending on how this unit performs over the course of time. Reading comments by others, I will take the time to register with Sabrent for the extended warranty. Overall, though, I am currently satisfied and quite pleased with this purchase. It does what I want, reads and writes quickly enough for my needs, and is small and convenient to carry around.*** Update 22Jul2024 ***Upgrading my original 4 star rating to 5 stars. I’ve had this Sabrent storage device for just over 4 years and it has been consistently reliable and speedy in its read/write speeds. Highly recommended product that stands the test of time (well, 4 years and counting).

Hard disk esterno molto piccolo, delle dimensioni di una pen drive ma con 1Gb a disposizione..É leggero; pesa 54 grammi.É velocissimo in scrittura e lettura.Con in mio computer scrive a circa 430 mb/s !!!! Utilizzando però cavi ad alta velocità come quelli forniti dalla Sabrent stessa.L’unica differenza in negativo rispetto alla comune pen drive è il dover portare insieme all’hard disk il cavo, almeno fino a quando non saranno disponibili gli adattatori compatti Usb-A maschio Usb-C maschio ad alta velocità per trasformarlo di fatto in una chiavetta.Consigliatissimo.
…anyone who appreciates the precision of Apple Product will also be very impressed by the executed quality. However, it should be noted that the the published data speed depends on the implemented working environment and there will be probably the bottleneck generated. I have already ordered a second Sabrent Rocket 2TB SSD and the Macbook Pro 16/ 64GB RAM is in best company. Not just an eye-catcher.
