If you want to get a general understanding on IoT you probably get it better in the Internet. Technology is only covered on a very high level.
I was searching for a book allowing me to get the IOT’s big picture but also covering the most important tecnhical aspects of this tecnology. I’m very satisfied. The book is very complete and includes also some quiz to test the comprehenion of the topic. I recommend it.
While the topic is important, and the organization of the material was reasonable, the writing itself was painful to read. The first 60 pages could easily be reduced to 12 pages and be more clear at the same time.While the author clearly has a passion for the topic, that passion did not translate into clear communication.I do not mean this to sound harsh, but the author could benefit from hiring a writing instructor and a brutally honest editor.A couple of writing suggestions:1. Follow a generalization with specifics that exemplify what you just wrote. Do not follow a generalization with another generalization that says essentially the same thing.2. When you are outlining important ideas stay on topic; do not jump to interesting issues that distract from the point you are trying to make. Put that information in later after you’ve laid the foundation.
