Lies about models it fits.
No combatable with g5 does not have the right screw holes
Used this fan to replace the dead GPU fan on my Gigabyte G5 MD 2021 HOWEVER, this is the *thick* fan, which is incorrect for my model (as the seller mentioned). It’s about ~5mm taller than the original fan, but it did fit into the slot without modification. It causes the laptop’s plastic outer shell to flex slightly, but doesn’t seem problematic.I’ve just installed it so we’ll see if it causes any issues. Will update if it doesn’t work out. I’ve decided to try it because I couldn’t find the correct thin model of the fan available for sale in the US and didn’t want to wait a month.
These fans worked great, took about 30 minutes to install, I am a computer professional but even a novice could replace these in 30-40 minutes. Make sure you have some thermal paste before you start. Laptop runs cool and is much quieter now.
