Almost the Perfect Laptop!The OLED screen is perfection embodied in a 16-inch panel. Not gonna look at any other screen the same way! The keyboard is fantastic! personally, I don’t need the number pad, and if Lenovo removed it, this would easily be S-tier. The trackpad is very responsive with no lag; the only drawback is that it’s not glass.RGB lighting is top of the line, and the overall build quality is absolutely S-tier inside and out. People used to say you buy a MacBook because it’s beautiful both inside and outside, but that’s no longer the case; the Legion 7i Pro is just as well-engineered and feels as solid as a MacBook Pro. This is peak Windows laptop design!The four speakers are loud, clear, and very good—easily A-tier. An underrated highlight is the cooling system. Even under stress, it doesn’t sound like a Boeing engine ready for takeoff, which is impressive. And even the charger don’t feel hot to the touch which to me is pretty impressive for a heavy gaming laptop!The only downsides:• Weight: It’s on the heavy side, but I’ll take that tradeoff any day for better cooling.• Battery life: This is the Achilles heel. I only get around 2 to 2.5 hours of YouTube playback. It feels like stepping back to the 2010s—reminds me back in 2009 MacBook Pro when I purchased it because its battery was hitting 5 hours. But we in 2025, and this laptop has battery life under 3 hours is disappointing 🤣😭 That said, I didn’t buy this laptop for battery life—if that were my priority, I’d have gone with the MacBook Pro M4.Overall, this might just be the best all-around gaming laptop of 2025 in my opinion. 🔥🔥🔥🐐

To call this just a “gaming laptop” feels like a disservice; it’s a meticulously engineered marvel that redefines what’s possible in a portable form factor.The performance is, in a word, staggering. The combination of the Intel Core Ultra 9 and the RTX 5070 Ti GPU chews through every modern title I’ve thrown at it without breaking a sweat. Even notoriously demanding games run with a fluidity that has to be seen to be believed, maintaining high frame rates that take full advantage of the display.And let’s talk about that display, because it deserves its own chapter. The 16-inch 2.5K OLED panel is breathtaking. The infinite contrast with true, deep blacks and the sheer vibrancy of the colors make every visual experience, from gaming to content creation, utterly captivating. Paired with a silky-smooth 240Hz refresh rate, the clarity and responsiveness are simply on another level. It has genuinely ruined other screens for me.What’s equally impressive is the thermal management. Even when pushing it hard using Lenovo Vantage’s preset performance modes, the laptop never feels like it’s overheating. It gets warm, as expected from a high-performance machine, but the heat is managed so well that the keyboard and typing area remain remarkably comfortable. I’ve personally tweaked the custom power profiles, and the level of customization has allowed me to optimize performance to even greater lengths, all without the hardware risks of traditional overclocking.What truly seals the deal is the incredible value proposition. In a market saturated with overpriced options, this machine feels like a hidden gem. It trades blows with laptops costing hundreds more, offering flagship-tier performance and features without the exorbitant price tag. Lenovo has found the perfect sweet spot.Every aspect of the Legion Pro 7i feels premium, from its solid aluminum chassis to the scorching-fast storage. If I had to pinpoint the one area where a budget-conscious decision was made, it’s the plastic trackpad. Frankly, it’s a brilliant choice. In a machine this powerful, it’s the only noticeable compromise, and for any serious user who brings their own mouse, it’s a complete non-issue. It shows Lenovo put the money where it truly counts. They haven’t just built a great laptop; they’ve earned a new loyal customer. If you are on the fence, consider this your sign. This is the one. An unreserved five-star recommendation.
Good specs for an okay price, probably the best bet for quality vs cost that I was able to find. I DO personally have a couple of issues with right away, however:- The charger port being on the side of the laptop is a huge step down from previous models, where it was at the back of the unit. The placement makes the laptop uncomfortable to use anywhere but a desk, limiting its portability. I also foresee a lot of busted chargers in the future because of the angle the cord from most charger positions.- The keyboard RGB lights aren’t remotely accurate. White comes out blue, orange goes white, green goes blue, etc. This could be a broader issue with RGB keyboard lights being inaccurate, but I don’t think I’ve ever had one THIS inaccurate.So far so good on the performance, at least! 🙂
Super fast, fairly quiet and easy to set up. As always worth a desktop replacement, it’s heavy and runs hot, but neither are terrible. Super quality build. Beautiful screen and sound.
For the moment the laptop is fine, but it was advertised has 2tb and it only came with 1tb which sucks
