[Brand Overview] Thermalright is a Taiwanese brand with more than 20 years of development history. It has a certain degree of popularity in the domestic and international markets, and has a decisive influence in the CPU cooler market. We have been focusing on the research and development of computer accessories. The R&D product line includes: CPU coolers, CPU water cooling coolers, case fans, thermally conductive silicone grease, SSD coolers, accessories and other products.
[Product Specifications] Cooler Model: Peerless Assassin 90 SE (PA90 SE),CPU Cooler; Dimensions: 94 (L) x 94 (W) x 110 (H) mm; All-aluminium fins with a pure copper base and 4 nickel-plated heatpipes, assisted by the TF4, allow for cooler temperatures even as CPU performance rises. The compact heatsink will not block the high waistcoat of memory during installation and is compatible with more high memory.
[Upgraded Heat Pipe Technology]The 4x6mm heat pipe adopts AGHP upgraded 4th generation technology, which solves the effect of anti-gravity in vertical/horizontal mounting orientation. CNC precision micro-engraved copper base combined with nickel-plated antioxidant heat pipe allows for enhanced cooling effect.
[High speed cooling fan] Model: TL-P9 fan, speed of 2200PRM ± 10%, air volume: 32.77CFM (MAX), fan interface for 4PIN PWM, rated voltage 12V DC; S-FDB bearing can solve the problem of lifting shaking and vibration, the oblique angle of the fan blades of the large air volume design, which ensures effective heat dissipation of the high speed.UL a level of safety insulation low level, Industrial strength PBT+PC material, with heart to create high quality products for you.
[110mm Height] The overall height of the CPU cooler is 110mm, which is compatible with small/medium/large cases without sacrificing cooling performance, making the cooler more compatible.

well-read and still learning

There are not a lot of reviews online for this cooler, but when I upgraded my case, I needed a smaller cooler to keep a 7800x3D cool and replace the 120mm DeepCool I was using. I’m happy to say it’s working great. My temps never go above 82C, even during stress testing, and idle in the mid to low 40s. I’m not an overclocker, so I can’t speak to that, but with stock settings (no undervolt) and PBO enabled, this cooler holds its own.Installation is very easy for AMD since it uses the stock backplate. Just take off the stock brackets and screw the mount directly onto the backplate, and then the cooler onto the mount. Took me less than 10 minutes. For Intel not so much, as you’ll have to pull the MB to install the custom backplate. The fan works quite well and is reasonably quiet. I have four other fans in the case and under load nothing stands out as excessively loud. If you need a smaller cooler, this one works great. No lighting bling though, but for the price it’s a great deal.

I built a budget ITX PC. One thing that had to go immediately was the CPU cooler. I had the stock AMD cooler, and it worked great, but it was so loud, even at idle. It was only cooling a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. Temps were around 35c – 40c during idle and 75c – 65c during gaming. It was under control, but it was too noisy. I couldn’t stand it; no amount of fan tuning could keep the cooler quiet. I did not want to spend a lot for a new one and came across this Thermalright Peerless Assassin 90 SE Cooler. Absolutely no reviews on it and maybe 1 or 2 Youtube reviews on it. Thermalright is a great brand however, I use a few of their case fans because their quiet and have a great amount of flow. So I took a chance on this cooler. The CPU was never thermal-throttling so getting this CPU Cooler was never about the temps. I am happy to say however that the temps are insanely good. Like really good. Idle temps are usually around 32c- 38c. Then the temps while playing games were even better, max I saw while playing Cyberpunk 2077 and Space Marines 2 were around 52c – 55c. To top it all off, it was super quiet. I was able to now hear the case fans I had because the CPU cooler was running so silent. Once I tuned the case fans, my PC runs completely silent. Honestly, I tested the max speed of the CPU cooler and even at max speed, it wasn’t bad. It barely ramps up the CPU fan to cool the CPU because it has great passive cooling from the fin stacks, which by the way are great quality. There’s plenty of headroom in this cooler, I am definitely going to keep this cooler when I get a Ryzen 7 5700x. For low profile coolers, I am positive this cooler will do great with almost any CPU in a well-ventilated case. I wouldn’t say it outperforms the Noctua NH-D9L, in noise or performance. But I am positive the difference between that cooler and this one is going to be in the single digits. The difference in price will not be worth it honestly. I wish a Youtuber with the ability to test them side by side could do so. It would be interesting, but I still think the Noctua NH-D9L will be overpriced compared to small percent of difference.

Performs fantastic. It’s very quiet and does a great job taking care of the heat issue. The mounting system was very easy to use and compatible with my CPU.It is bulky though. If you have a smaller rig, this will likely not fit in it.

Pleasantly surprised with this air cooler. I bought it as a replacement for an old EVGA AIO that finally died on me. It’s nice and compact, allowing it to fit beautifully in my Mini ATX case.On idle my temperature is at 32C with fan doing 636RPM. It’s very quiet at this stage. While gaming I haven’t seen my temp go higher than 57C with RPM maxing at 800. The noise does increase, but not by much. If you’re wearing headphones it’s pretty much nonexistent. I don’t play super intensive games or have high processes. So I don’t know if this smaller cooler will be enough for someone pushing their PC or overclocking.Installation was a bit tricky for me. It’s my first time using an air cooler. When first seating it on the CPU it’ll slide due to the thermal paste. Had a good laugh about that. Make sure to hold it as steady as possible and get one side screwed in half way to keep it from moving further. On quality. It seems fairly cheap with its unpainted surface (it’s just silver). But it matches with my mobo’s silver and black so I don’t mind it as much. Though it looks cheap, it’s well put together. And honestly, for its price this thing is amazing.

My daughters PC kept having overheating issues with a all in one radiator.I got tired of it.I read great things about these. The build quality is amazing. It really is.I have a high dollar custom loop in my PC and I’ve been building PC’S for a long time.I never tried this brand. I’m glad I did. There really isn’t a need to spend crazy money for one of these “Name Brand” coolers.I ended up buying another for my daughters Ryzen 7 5700X, and it’s a nice cool 34c.Extremely easy to install, comes with everything for Intel and AMD. Both old and new socket types.Mine even came with a small tube of thermal paste!I’ll definitely be using Thermalright again.Well done!
