They looked great and were more flexible than I imagined. They are very bright with nice smooth animations. They are a bit thicker than one might initially imagine but they’re fair to work with.My sister loved it.
It’s shiny and the color is very vibrant. Good quality and easy to install even my PSU cable is thick.
This product is a great match if you have custom cables but want to add more color to your build. I have beautiful custom cable mod cables but my case glass is smoked rather than clear so I don’t get to appreciate the purple gold theme I have. This led strip is a clip rather than cable extensions like most products so that I can keep my custom cables and the way they look while still adding more flavor to the build.Installation is very easy as these just clip over your current cables. The only issue I had was that the 24pin cable combs that I had made the cable too stiff for the clip to go around. After removing the cable comb the clips fit just fine and the combs are redundant with the clips over them anyway.I found the color compatibility to be great and my motherboard detected them instantly and added them to my theme once the PC booted. The color matches well and is nice and bright even in the purple color. For led’s purple is one of the hardest to reproduce so frequently things will not match but these are good in that regard.I did find the strips quite stiff and managing the 24pin cable was difficult but not impossible. Due to how these are made I don’t see this as a fault but more of something to keep in mind as you plan your build.Overall the product has a quality feel and worked perfectly out of the box. These are a vanity product so the value is based on your desire for the look more than need. If you have stock power supply cables I would not pick this and go with extensions but if you have custom cables this is perfect to enhance the look you already have.
These are super easy to install and look great! Function as they should. Very flexible and durable enough to be in a PC.You simply just “clamp” these on to your PSU cables and run the standard RGB to your motherboard headers and BOOM! RGB cables!!
Package comes with strips for GPU cables and 24-Pin Motherboard cable. These are not replacement cables, but only covers which will attach onto the cable to cover their ugliness and add color and (if desired) movement. For the GPU cable: it is designed for 1 or 2 8-Pin PCI-E connectors. The box says it can handle 3 connectors, and that would sort-of work, but the plugs would need to be farther away from the LED strip, making the look less complete. I have a 16-Pin GPU, so 2 plugs was my need and use-case.The length of both cables is great. It gets the cable from the motherboard to the back of the case without issue, and my case is pretty big. In fact, a smaller case might find the cable covers too long, which would be an issue. The strips themselves feel well made. They are flexible, the lighting is consistent, and the end terminations feel sturdy. The package comes with combs for both GPU and MOBO cables in 3 sizes, with 2 combs per size. This allows maximum flexibility for the size and number of cables a person is trying to hide. Everything was present, well packaged, and feels quality. There are two ways to connect these cables. The FIRST is to connect it directly to a plug on the motherboard. Buyers should be aware that the cables are 3-pin, NOT 4-pin. To this end, if you want to plug it into the motherboard, you MUST have a 3-pin header, or an adapter. To briefly summarize the difference between pin numbers for lighting:3-Pin RGB: Ideal for simple color washes and low-cost accent lighting where individual pixel control isn’t needed. Use it for static or basic color-changing effects without white-light capability. 4-Pin RGBW: Best when you need a dedicated white channel for true white light alongside RGB colors. Perfect for mood lighting that blends colored accents with clean, tunable white. 4-Pin ARGB: Choose when you want addressable, per-pixel control for dynamic animations, chasing effects, and complex color patterns. Common in gaming rigs and interactive installations. To this end you will note that these ARGB sleeves are not going to allow for granular control of the lights. They are much more basic, displaying a set of color options and movement options. This being said, for more basic cables they are very nice. The SECOND connection option is an included controller that plugs directly into a SATA power cable. This is the method I chose. In doing so, the lights are controlled with a little wired remote with 3 buttons. the FIRST button selects static colors. It cycles through rainbow colors, and then solid colors. There are maybe 12 colors or so. If you choose to have a static color, then the SECOND button control brightness. The THIRD button controls moving colors. It cycles through the same color options, but this time it provides a movement. If you choose moving colors, then the SECOND button controls movement speed rather than brightness.I connected both sleeves to their respective cables, daisy chained them to each other, and then plugged them into the wired controller. When I turned by computer on everything lit up perfectly. The cables look great. I changed my to a moving blue to complement the rest of my system.Overall, I am very pleased with the product. Everything works, it looks great, and included sufficient options to offer flexibility to my needs. The perceived quality gives me no concerns about longevity.
