Seagate 2TB Portable Drive
Brilliant bit of kit that comes at a great price, although it isnt the SSD which would be quicker, I haven’t had any issues at all and does the job I want it to for my games design assets, and coursework. I would highly recommend it for the price and the great amount of storage it provides.

Working Perfect with Mac
Being a photographer, I am in regular need on backup drives. I saw this 10tb drive on Amazon for around £195 and it seemed to fit the criteria. I managed to buy a seller returned item so it only actually cost me £135 so I bagged an absolute bargain.Impressions… Looks great, is mains powered so has a built in fan to keeps things cool. Has a USB 3.0 and a USB-C slot on the front too, so I can plug in card readers.etcI did need to format this to exFAT for it to work. I’m not sure if that’s because of this drive or if its because its a seller returned. Either way, no biggy.Overall, as hard drives go…I’m pleased.

Great storage but low speeds
This is a very nice piece of kit.The good point being the large storage capacity but don’t expect the world when it comes to speed as it doesn’t read data at anywhere near the speeds of my SSD .For the money it’s very nice but as others have said you can’t load data onto it directly via the usb and that’s my only down point

Very good drive with plenty of storage I went for the 8TB Drive and am very happy with the performance its very quiet in use and seems to read and write very quickly it has a USB hub on the front so effectively it does not take up a USB socket on the PC I am very impressed with this drive so much so that I bought a second one in my opinion its well worth taking a look at if you are planning to upgrade your storage

Just don’t bother…Bought this because it looked like it was usb-c from the front. It’s not, is still got the stupid long usb3 connector ( that feels flimsy) and a massive power brick thing.Then you get to the stupid Seagate toolkit. Actually want to use it like a disk, you need to install more software, put in stupid codes from a sticker on the drive, then you might be able to use it.. (allow 3 hours to get this working with ChatGPT helping)Then the kicker, even if you wipe all this encryption stuff, if you reboot your computer with the drive still plugged in you are playing roulette with your data. Sometimes the drive shows unreadable volumes, sometimes it will be read-only. Some times it will just crash your windows 11 for no reason. Or make opening a file hang..2 weeks after buying it, and I’m still to actually save a file to the thing. And if I do, I will probably never get it back.Basically, just don’t bother..

Je regrette mon achat, fonctionne par intermittence sur ma YV PANASONIC, parfois il lit les fichiers photos, à d’autres moments il refuse de les lire.
Il brand parla da solo e l’unità soddisfa le aspettative in qualità costruttiva, performance e praticità.Le porte USB frontali sono fenomenali e la funzione che permette di fare un backup dell unita collegata senza passare i dati per il computer è meravigliosa…peccato solo che è possibile farlo solo tramite il suo tool Seagate Toolkit e non sia presente un bottone fisico sull unità che renda l’operazione autonoma anche senza un computer. Complessivamente è perfetto.
