Can’t recommend enough that you stay away from this disaster of a console.
Flawed at best. It plays original Gameboy and Gameboy Color games just fine (beautifully, in fact), but it just refuses to load up Pokémon Leaf Green & Fire Red. Just sits on a logo screen. I’m so disappointed. We need a new patch to come out badly.Edit: Scratch that comment where I say it plays games beautifully. Kirby’s Dreamland looks AWFUL. You can barely read the logo in the corner of the screen, it’s that bad.Edit #2: I’m now returning this item and changing the review from 2 stars to 1 star. It refuses to load Pokémon Crystal, Worms, and Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (as well as Pokémon: Fire Red & Leaf Green mentioned above). You get the console logo screen, then a white screen and nothing. It just hangs. I’m absolutely gutted by this.Edit #3: I want this console to work so badly, it’s such a cool looking little thing. So I gave the SD card a full format, reinstalled the software, and gave it one last try. Pokemon Crystal now works, byt Pokemon Fire Red does nothing. It just sits on the “Hyperkin Play Well, Live Well” splash logo screen. I’m so disappointed. They need to do better with the software. This is not good enough for a paid product that advertises the ability to play GBA games….Edit #4: Immediately after writing #3, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins was confirmed as a complete refusal to load as well
4 years on and still no new patches for GBA Games
I would have expected a new patch by now but its only got Version 1.2 from 3 years ago.Doom 1 and 2 have issues, GTA Advance, Sonic Advance 2, and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Worked Flawlessly. Worst were both The Legend of Zelda and Zelda 2 The Adventure of Link, unable to bootup.I expect that it will work with more Gameboy and Gameboy Colour games, but I never had games for either of those systems.
Die Konsole ist an sich eine Tolle Idee leider werden nicht alle Spiele erkannt oft Gameboy Advance spiele jedoch super um Alte Gameboy Spiele auf einem Großen Bildschirm zu spielen leider gibt es auch keine Updates die die Probleme beheben sehr Schade daher 4/5 Sternen
I have really enjoyed this even though I had to reload the firmware!! I played Final Fantasy V and picked the quick save option which caused a loop and when I recopied firmware and Only used the regular limited save , it worked like a dream. I have played Spiderman mysterious menace and gbc games like Indiana Jones infernal machine. This thing really does a awesome job!

Soy fan de Hyperkin!Me encanta la consola.El diseño es genial.Indica que el soporte a GBA es beta, pero en mi caso ni siquiera me interesa que sea soportado.Yo la adquiri por el soporte a juegos GB y GBC, y a mi gusto, lo hace muy bien.Yo no soy purista, y me conformo con poder jugar mis juegos favoritos en la pantalla.Satisfecho al 100%!
