This is almost identical to the expensive brands to do the same thing. I am currently using this as a piece on my active target for my depth finder, and it has worked great so far.

Rock solid mount for my GPS on my ATV. Could not be more pleased with it.One suggestion is to do what I did which was put some heat shrink tubing on the U bolts to keep the metal from scratching the paint on the handlebars. That worked perfectly and did not affect the performance of the mount.
