Excellent Product and Excellent Company
I recently purchased a Movo UM700 microphone. I am extremely pleased with it. I have found the quality of recordings I have made with it, its build quality and its range of features, all to be of superb quality. I had a minor technical query regarding the product so I contacted Movo. I received a very prompt, polite and helpful response. I will definitely be looking at buying Movo products again, as I am delighted with both their product and customer service. Well done Movo.

Now, the mic itself is brilliant, it capture everything, very solid and exactly what I wanted. It need software to run and help clearing the sound, especially if used to broadcast. Getting the right setting from the Pc is crucial to have an amazing sound, this may put off beginners.I had an issue with the usb cable which bended after the first use, I’ve contacted the customer service which quickly gave me different option to sort out the problem. I got a new cable sent from US in super fast time.Thank you.
Regrettable purchase
Terrible noise floor, prone to plosives even with pop shield and good angle. Need to maintain alot of distance from it and spend lots of time in post. Warm but otherwise, not happy. Better off saving your money for a Blue Yeti or Shure
Poor build quality
The mute button on the UM700 just falls off after some use. Ive had this mic less than a year, at the bottom of the page the manufacturer claim 1yr warranty but no information on how to claim it either. Very disappointed as I had read good things about this brand and product.
Has multiple modes – Carboid (Mono, front only), Stereo (Right and Left), Omnidirectional (All four sides), and Bidirectional (Front and Back). I use the stereo mode for recording my voice and find its a very decent sound quality, especially for the price.The construction is all metal and really sturdy and well made overall. The listing says its Micro USB but actually it has a USB-C port, comes with USB-C to USB-A and C cables, really an appreciated upgrade! Also has the standard XLR port for audio junkies.Comes with a nice swivel stand that can be swapped out for a typical desk mic holder. Also has gain and volume rockers, as well as a mute button, but unfortunately its loud and shows up in the recording unless you’re really careful with how you press it. The white version of the mic does not come with a wind cover like the other two colors do.

The microphone does everything it claims to do on the box. It delivers the same quality as more name-brand options at a slightly lower cost, and is built fairly sturdy. What I especially like about it is that it includes a 3.5mm jack on the bottom for real-time monitoring, allowing you to hear everything the mic picks up without any audio delay.The only things I dislike is that the stand doesn’t really allow one to adjust it up and down, being that it’s fairly tall, and that the connectors protrude out the bottom in a potentially vulnerably way. Still, these are very minor things that do not impact its performance.Do note that this is a condenser mic, not a dynamic mic. It’s great for conversation, talking, inside-voice sort of audio levels. For loud recording/broadcasting such as music, you’ll want a dynamic mic instead.
So, I’m by no means an audio expert, I bought this mic when it was relatively newer, it was over 3x the price that it is now so I’ll be doing the review for the price I paid for ($183). Mic has great quality if I have some filters to put in place through a third party program and have it placed closed to mouth. Issues happens if I lean back at all as people will complain that I’m cutting out and it’s hard to hear me and I’ll have to nearly yell in order to be heard. Volume slider on the front of the mic does not work in any capacity, if it’s at 0, people can hear me, if it’s maxxed people hear me at the exact same volume as 0.
