Cheap basic DDR4 SO-DIMM but good value right now
It is not a good time to buy memory (or flash) right now due to high prices, but if you need it for a new laptop or NUC then it’s not much of a choice. We’re talking Skylake (Core v6+) and Carrizo systems here.This is bog-standard DDR4 2133 data rate (2×1667) memory not meant for overclocking but good value if that’s all you need. Crucial has a good reputation for reliability and warranty and I’ve never had any issues. If you need DDR4 for a performance/gamer laptop then look elsewhere.But you are unlikely to need faster DDR4 for normal laptops / NUCs in the future due to the needs to keep power usage low; it took years for DDR3 SO-DIMM to go from 1600 to a modest 1867 so don’t think your 2133 memory will become obsolete. Your future system won’t need 3200 memory.As this is a kit (2 sticks) dual channel should be automatically be enabled for double memory bandwidth which greatly helps APU systems like most laptops / NUCs. This does mean upgrading to 16GB will need both sticks to be replaced – but personally I would only stick with single-channel if I think I will upgrade reasonably quickly (months?) to another stick.

Does what it says, works like a charm. Upgraded my 8Gb DDR4 to 16Gb on my MSI GE72 6QD cause the my system started suspiciously lagging, especially when heavy games were being played.Value for money AND quality. Definitely recommend it !

Easy to install
This was bought for my new laptop which only had 4gb of ram. Easy to install. I used this for the HoMei 15.6″ Full HD Laptop, Nvidia GTX 950M 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card, Intel Pentium Dual-Core G4560, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 500GB HDD, Bluetooth, WiFiTo improve the 4gb of ram and now my laptop is a beast lol. Runs everything smoothly. I’ve not had one crash. So far. Thank you.
What can I say? It’s computer memory and it works.
Not the easiest thing to review – either these thing work or they don’t. It works, was a little cheaper here than on Crucial’s website and I’m 100% happy with it. If you’re looking for some additional RAM for your laptop and this is compatible my advice would be to buy it. That is all.

After checking around Crucial definitely offered the most competitive price, the speed of the RAM was more than up to standard and can make for a great upgrade.Just remember to consult your guides before fitting – My laptop made it very easy to install.

Fantastic. I originally had 8GB of ram and was noticing a lot of stutter issue while playing Witcher 3 on my 1050Ti. I was very doubtful but upgrading to 16GB ram actually eliminated almost all of the issue and same for some other games. It seems weird I know but if you have same issue then try it as you wont regret! 🙂

These are amazing. I used it with Asrock h110m stx board. There is slight gain in overall performance then the DDR3 that i used in my previous system. Amazon price also keeps changing. I purchased it for £80 when it was out of stock but now it’s gone up.

本体メモリは既に8GB搭載されていることもあり、以前メインに使用していたラップトップの4GBに比べたら、基本的には快適サクサクだったのですが動画編集ソフトや、ライトルームでの現像時など若干物足りない為今回購入しました。初めてのメモリ増設なので色々なサイトを見ましたが、とりあえずスリム型なのでSODIMMというノート仕様のもの、そしてDDR4-2133という物で絞りをかけお手頃なコチラを選択。取り付けに関しては本当蓋開けて差し込むだけなので簡単でした。取り付け後一週間ほど経ちますが、無事に認識しており不具合等なく動作しております。やっぱりメモリ使用量が少ないと精神的にも楽ですね。見違える程の体感は無いかもしれませんが、それでもやっぱりかなり快適な動作になってくれています。以前8GBのくせに結構負荷を掛けてしまっていたのだと思います。ちなみにお届け目安が2ヶ月くらいになってましたが、運が良かったのか1週間くらいで届いてくれました。ご安心ください。

Bought it for my new Asus R558UQ. Works perfectly and I read, it’s faster as compared to Dual Ranked.R558U users are good to go with this one.(Detailed Edit: 21/03/17)After 2-3 days of usage I must say there is major improvement. I tried gaming GTA V, NFS The Run & CS:GO (low-medium presets) after using this RAM there was no frame drops in either of the game.Even for a Linux user-like me it really helps in speeding up compilation time. For compiling an app which initially took 4 minutes 28 secs reduced to 3 minutes 10 secs. 🙂
