2. Crucial DDR5 desktop memory modules (UDIMMs) can reach rated speeds with Intel XMP 3.0 or AMD EXPO turned on in the UEFI/BIOS settings. Applicable for all Crucial DDR5 desktop memory (UDIMM) modules except Crucial DDR5-4800 desktop memory, which supports only Intel XMP 3.0. Based on published competitor specs for DDR5 memory as of August 2023. Altering clock frequency or voltage beyond advertised speeds and timing (overclocking) may result in damage to computer components and will void your Crucial agreement. 32gb Dual sticks (16gb x 2 non o/c)
Why did you choose this product over others?:Purchased the 32gb (2x16gb 6000) non o/c for a new build. As it’s on an AMD system, I’m limited by the CPU memory controller which “supposedly” only goes to 5200mt/s.Tried at the rated speed of 6000 but my system kept having a hissy fit & rebooting after a few minutes – Lowering it down to 5600 seems to be the sweet spot for me. Although they’re not running at the full rated speed, this gives me wiggle room with future upgrades & longevity with the sticks as I won’t have to go out and buy a new set when upgrade time kicks in.It was a choice between these & Kingston – these won out as at the time of purchase they were half the price.A Good choice and happy with the product.

This is my honest feedback and experience.Installed it ok, wouldn’t boot. Fans screaming but no POST screen…Persevered for a long while… reinstalled original ram. I thought “this isn’t cool”Checked motherboard docs and spec, and found out it wasn’t supported, but there was a new bios version available (ASUS tuf gaming 670-Wi-Fi with 9800x3d cpu)Version bios 3223 makes this work lovely.Great bit of RAM after an update. No criticism, but do read your motherboard docs before you make a mistake.Although I know this RAM is very widely supported, I had a minor issue in my case. (Entirely my fault!)

Works great after BIOS update
Ordered these for the Asus Maximus HERO Z690 system, The Crucial page shows it’s supported, however, when installed, the system wouldn’t post, and showed error code 53 on the motherboard which is for a memory error. Tried all slots in 1 or 2 module configurations and it kept showing the same error. I have two other kits on me and both work fine, so either this kit is incompatible after all or dead on arrival. Some research found out the DDR5 can be hit and miss, to be on the safe side, make sure it’s on the motherboard’s QVL list or don’t bother as the memory manufacturer page doesn’t show the real compatibility, it’s just based on the theoretical spec sheet.Updated.My fault initially, Asus had released a BIOS update with added DDR5 module support on 22.03.2024, didn’t realise there was such a recent update, and after installing it, the motherboard recognized the kits and worked great with it.So for anyone looking to upgrade, make sure your motherboard has the latest BIOS before installing this kit. For Crucial, would be nice if they added this on their product page, a note that their kit might not be compatible with earlier DDR5 boards out of the box and a BIOS update might be needed for it to run.
Elegant, minimalistic and work as expected
It’s RAM, It’s Crucial/Micron. It’s working as expected. But what I do like about them is how absolutely beautiful they are. Nothing fancy, just minimalism and elegance. Which also helps with keeping them from being too tall and hindering some tower coolers.My initial mistake with these ones was that I got 2 kits expecting them to work in a 4 dimm configuration. Did not happen. AM5 motherboards are fiddly enough that they barely get 96GB RAM to work, let alone 192GB(and from 2 different kits). But 96GB do work fine after the initial training time(which can take several minutes during the first boot after installation)
