I’ve seen a few reviews before getting this and they were not necessarily thrilled with the unit but it’s very well built and the display and its functionality is amazing. Certainly beats a plain boring cpu blocks.One concern were the inlet and outlet ports which are made of plastic but they look solid and I guess only time will tell if they will crack/fail. Single usb-c cable for power and data beats most AIOs on the market (at the time of writing this review).
Socket 1700 just because
Really disappointing with this new product and the gatekeeping to socket 1700. Literally no reason for it. Multiple Corsair CPU blocks have had 1700 and 1200 support, it’s 3mm difference. It took me 5 minutes with a dremel to expand the screw slots to fit 1200 socket. Literally just a huge FU from Corsair.
J’ai choisi le Corsair XC7 RGB Elite LCD pour accompagner mon setup full Corsair dans une boucle custom avec un 13900K, et globalement, je suis très satisfait, même si quelques détails techniques m’ont demandé un peu de patience.✅ Ce que j’ai aimé :L’écran LCD est tout simplement magnifique. Très lumineux, bonne résolution, animations fluides, et entièrement personnalisable via iCUE. Je l’utilise pour afficher température CPU, logo animé et infos système – effet visuel garanti dans le boîtier.Refroidissement très correct. Utilisé avec deux radiateurs 360 mm, il maintient mon processeur à des températures stables, même en pleine charge (moins de 70 °C sur Cinebench R23 en multicore).Installation simple et rapide. Le système de fixation est bien pensé, les vis captives sont un vrai plus, et le waterblock peut être monté dans plusieurs orientations.Insert pré-appliqué de pâte thermique XTM70 : très pratique pour les débutants ou ceux qui veulent aller vite.RGB superbe et bien intégré avec les 31 LEDs ARGB. L’effet est propre, diffus, sans être agressif.⚠️ Les petits défauts à connaître :Nécessite impérativement iCUE. Sans le logiciel, l’écran LCD et le RGB ne fonctionnent pas du tout. Ce n’est pas plug & play. Et iCUE peut parfois être capricieux (bugs d’affichage ou mauvaise détection du bloc).Câble USB‑C fourni un peu capricieux. Dans mon cas, j’ai dû utiliser un autre câble USB‑C interne (vers USB 2.0 carte mère) car celui d’origine ne fonctionnait pas correctement.Écran parfois instable avant mise à jour firmware. Il m’est arrivé d’avoir des scintillements ou des gels d’écran. Une fois mis à jour via iCUE, tout est rentré dans l’ordre.Construction plastique sur la partie supérieure. Vu le prix du bloc, j’aurais préféré une finition full métal pour une impression encore plus premium.Le prix reste élevé, surtout comparé à d’autres waterblocks performants sans écran.💬 Conclusion :Le Corsair XC7 RGB Elite LCD est avant tout un produit esthétique, pensé pour les setups vitrine et les amateurs de customisation visuelle. Il remplit très bien son rôle en termes de refroidissement et de look, à condition d’être prêt à mettre un peu les mains dans le cambouis pour les câbles, les drivers, et iCUE. Ce n’est pas un bloc « plug & forget », mais une belle pièce centrale pour ceux qui veulent un setup vraiment unique.🔩 Note finale : 4,2/5. Excellent pour les builds premium, mais demande un peu de patience et de bidouilles.

Da fanboy Corsair devo ammettere che l’oggetto è molto figo, bello il display che è possibile personalizzare con Icue facilmente (anche la rotazione). Per adesso tutto perfetto, se devo trovare un difetto direi che la cornice interna a led poteva essere assemblata in maniera migliore (se la si tocca traballa leggermente) ma si sà che Corsair come controllo qualità non è mai stata perfetta…
I have used many types of waterblocks in many open loop systems over the years, and I can say the cooling performance is very good on this block. Is it the absolute best? No, but the difference is small, and if you’re using this, you’re getting it for the screen anyway, not premium thermal performance. The good news is that it works well. Apparently when these launched you couldn’t rotate the display in iCue, but you can now and it’s easy. One thing to note is that while iCue is running it’s going to display temps, which I like, and it will play the fun gifs when iCue closes, so startup and shut down, unless you keep the gif menu open, then it will loop for as long as you want. In practice this makes a lot of sense, I think a gif looping all the time would get old pretty fast. Anyway, it’s very fun, and it’s easy to set up.
Block installation was pretty typical for any water cooling block. Worked great right off the bat with icue. Super happy with the price to performance as temps are in the mid 40s at full tilt with a 7800x3d and 7900xtx in the loop.
