Early days
Seams to be good, easy setup, usb, Ethernet, wireless connectivity. Colours good, black and white print good. Ink cartridge life not yet assessed. Scanner excellent.
Perfect for home office use
Good little printer and scanner, the only problem was the connection, it says you can connect with USB but when I tried the computer would not connect and I had to use WiFi even though the printer sits directly above the computer in place of the previous canon printer
TR 7650 Canon printer
Amazing multi purpose printer, which meets all my expectations. The only problem was that I had to download new Canon printer drivers for it to work on my Windows PC. Strangely enough there wasn’t any problems on my Apple Mac.No hesitation in giving it five stars and would thoroughly recommend buying it.
Excellent print quality. Slow to start up and connect.
This is a replacement for a Canon TR7550 which decided it no longer wanted to operate. The two are very similar with the same features and ink cartridges, except the 7650 is not as easy to use….it automatically switches itself off, so you have to turn it back on to use it, not always practical…plus it takes about 30 seconds to receive the print instruction when you first send one. I believe there is a way to override the auto switch off, but I have not sought that yet.It is also quite complicated to set up and connect to devices, particularly to mobile phones, though no problem with a PC or laptop.Print quality is excellent, especially for photos on photo paper. Speed of printing after the first print is quite rapid, so no issues there. Scan quality is good and the auto duplex is a must for me.The reasons I have only given 3 stars are the difficulties in printing from mobile devices, and the speed in which it reacts to the first print instruction. Had I not got loads of spare inks for my old printer I would probably have bought an ink tank printer.

After trying various other printers I settled for this printer. I had a Canon previously and it performed well for many years with no problems so I decided to keep to the Devil you know. So far I am very happy with it but it early days so keep your fingers crossed.

The printer needs to be powered on before a print job is sent to it.The option to wake the printer from sleep when it receives a print job has to be enabled in the settings, as this is not the default behavior.
Easiest setup ever!
I was apprehensive about setting up my new printer but I needn’t have worried. Using the Canon setup webpage I linked immediately with my WiFi and printing from compatible devices like my phone is straightforward. I have had no issues with its operation so far but would have welcomed more information in the box about its various functions. I resorted to YouTube videos for step by step operation guides for scanning and copying. It’s too early to comment on how long the inks last for. Recommended.
