Fantastic value.
I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this one.I need a printer because I’m disabled and can’t write with a pen anymore.But I don’t use them all that often, so inkjet printers are useless, as they dry up if you don’t use them constantly. Hence why I needed a laser printer.It’s a mono printer, so only prints in black and white. But that’s great for me as that’s all I need. Just to print letters off.It’s fast and it prints beautifully. Not a single error like you often get with inkjets.It also connects to the Brother Mobile connect app with iOS and android. You don’t even need a PC. You can print straight from your phone over WiFi.I have also connected it to my computer though and it works flawlessly.Another great thing about it is that the ink is great value. You can get compatibles for less than £20 for it from the brother website or via the app.It’s also cheaper on Amazon than a lot of other retailers.All in all, I’m really impressed and glad I did my research.
A Printer That Just Works (Even After 2+ Years)
Update (Sept 2025): After 1,350 pages, the replacement toner is still showing 80% left (photo included). Proven reliable and efficient.I don’t usually write reviews immediately—I prefer to give products time to prove themselves. After two years of use, I can confidently say this Brother printer has been excellent. It worked straight out of the box and continues to perform reliably. It’s connected to an Apple Mac network, and I’ve had zero issues with compatibility or performance. A solid, dependable printer that just works.Update – August 2025:• The screen is still bright and clear (see photo).• Printing is as crisp and fast as day one (see video).• Wi-Fi connection has remained rock-solid with no dropouts.Further Update:Now I can confirm this printer holds up over time. I’ve printed around 1,350 pages so far. The original manufacturer-supplied toner (not a full one) ran out at page 718, and the replacement is still showing 80% left. Print quality hasn’t dropped off, and the machine runs like new. I also skipped installing the bundled HP software — it felt intrusive. The built-in system works fine without it, so no extra software needed. Very impressed with the efficiency.Overall, this printer has proven itself over the long term — a rare thing in today’s tech.If you found this update useful, that’s great — it took me 2 years to write it!

Great little printer. Super quick printing. It was not hugely easy or quick to set up (WiFi etc) but apart from that it is great. I use it for work and occasionally for personal stuff. I only really need black and white so it doesn’t bother me that it doesn’t print in colour. The design is great, quite small footprint and doesn’t take up as much space as other printers.
Forget Inkjet, Laser is best.
After decades of suffering from inkjet printers where the ink dries up, won’t print properly etc, I bought this Brother Laser Printer. No exaggeration it has changed my life when it comes to printing things out. The ink never dries out, perfect printing anytime all the time. Cartridges last for ages. I would nevert advise anyone to buy an inkjet printer again. Laser every time, and this Brother laser printer is superb!
If you print mainly in black and white, way better than an inkjet.
Brother DCP-L2627DWE mono 3-in one laser. After a Basil Fawlty incident with our Epson inkjet I had to find something better and this is it. I mainly print courier labels and charts and wiring diagrams and the Godawful inkjet burning out colour cartridges when printing black is no joke at £31 a time. This printer is a tad bigger than a standard inkjet but well made, quiet and fast and best of all a toner cartridge for around 1200 copies is just £42. The only issue was that although the printer attempted to join our wifi, trying to input a complex SSID password with an up and down button was hopeless. The app though is perfect. and found and joined our wifi without problem. I would recommend downloading the Windows or Mac software and drivers first and then the app. Locate the printer on the app and then install the drivers and software on the PC. Unlike some of the earlier Brother printers that had issue with 5gHz wifi, according to the Brother site this model doesn’t and as our Linksys is set to mixed, it had no problems. Time will tell regarding longevity but so far so good and a way better option than the ink hungry inkjets.

Unfortunately, I’m not satisfied with this device at all. Even though I previously owned a Brother printer and it was good, this one started showing a toner error after only 450 printed pages, saying I had to buy a new toner even though toners usually last up to 1200 pages. I ordered a toner directly from Brother to be sure it was compatible with my device, and after installing it, it still gave a toner error and kept asking me to reinstall it. I tried everything based on the instructions on their website, but nothing worked. It’s been a month now that I haven’t had a functioning printer, even though I really need one. Overall, it hasn’t been a good experience for me at all, and I’m considering using the 12-month warranty to return it if possible.
An excellent mono laser printer from a trusted brand.
Dear Fellow Amazonians,I only required the basic mono Brother laser printer option for the home office as I already have a Canon flat bed scanner.The Wi-Fi connectivity, though useful, wasn’t required as I am the sole user; though this may change in the future. Upon connecting the printer to my desktop via the USB cable the drivers downloaded automatically within seconds.The whole process from unboxing, installing the integrated cartridge and roller assembly, to running the first few test pages took no more than 10 minutes.
Fue bastante fácil de instalar. La calidad de la conexión WiFi con el portátil era inestable, pese a tenerla colocada a pocos metros del router, pero se solucionó con un cable de impresora genérico USB 2.0. Imprime bien, es rápida y eficiente. Para uso doméstico o en oficina pequeña cumple más que de sobra.Si buscas un modelo manejable que no pase de los 10 kg. de peso, económico y funcional, esta es una opción muy decente.
Ein sehr guter Drucker funktioniert sehr gut hat viele verschiedene Funktionen. Man kann damit richtig viel drucken. Man kann für Büro Haushalt etc. benutzen. Ich kann die Marke Brother weiter empfehlen. Die Tinte kommt super voraus und noch dazu was mir am meisten gefällt ist der Handy scannen man kann einfach Dokumente von seinem Handy auf die Drucker herausholen, dann kommen die richtig gut raus. ich empfehle diese Drucker.
Great printer. I have a lower model, but this one scans both sides. More importantly, this printer is the last of the family that accepts the third party TN-2450 toner. As a hint, it is worth adjusting the print profiles to reduce toner consumption in any case.

Imprimante WIFI très pratique. Le wi-fi c’est top pour imprimer depuis l’ordi, mais aussi les téléphones. Par contre quand le wifi tombe, ça ne marche pas…Une très légère latence entre le lancement de l’impression et son début.Installation facile, connectivité stable (un seul problème en plusieurs mois d’usage).Vitesse d’impression rapide et de bonne qualité.Un grand bac de chargement de papier qui permet d’oublier qu’il faut rajouter du papier.Une application qui permet de suivre l’état de la cartouche.Et surtout, après plusieurs mois d’usage régulier, je n’ai toujours pas changé de cartouche (je suis bien content d’avoir lourdé mon imprimante jet d’encre qui me coutait une fortune en encre)
