While my complaints are minor, they’re enough to knock off one star. This isn’t a perfect monitor—but at this price point, that’s to be expected.Cons: The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired—it’s quite poor. However, it functions, and there’s an easy workaround: simply use external speakers or a headset.Pros:• The visuals aren’t top-tier, but they’re still impressive and absolutely worth the cost.• These monitors are incredibly lightweight and portable, easily fitting into a standard backpack.• Setup was effortless—just plug and play.• The touch functionality is very responsive and works flawlessly.I liked it so much for the value that I ended up buying two!
I bought this because my fold six screen is still too small for me. I can easily use chrome and go to desktop mode with this monitor. You can use it with your phone or as a standalone monitor for a laptop. I love the touchpad. I have an external battery pack supply. And it lasted six hours. It charges your phone to a 100%. Once the battery is depleted, then your phone battery juice takes over. I put a piece of velcro on my battery pack. And attached it to the back of the monitor that way, it’s very portable and I don’t forget the battery. You can’t beat the price. It would be nice if it had its own battery. But then it would probably be a lot more expensive. And heavier. I actually have the sammer’s keyboard from amazon and a wireless mouse. So it’s basically like a laptop, and it’s a touchscreen as well.I love it.
Using it with a 2018 Mac mini. I am bale to run it just off the power supplied by one of the USB C ports, so that is a huge plus. I have been unable to get multi-point touch to work. This is the reason for deducting a star. Also, use on an iPad is OKish. Touch doesn’t seem to allow me to actually control anything, but a “cursor” does show up. It may be an issue with iPad settings, though. On the Mac the touch mouse emulation is responsive, with an immediate mouse click on anything I tap. Dragging my finger moves the cursor in a responsive manner.
I travel for work about 95% of the time and found this to be the best extra monitor. Not only is the price great but it is easy to use and travels well! It has stood the test of time and extensive travel. The screen is easy to see and you can adjust placement and the angle for better visibility.
We are using this with a very inexpensive, Windows 11 laptop. The touchscreen is working well overall, with a few glitchy things which may be a driver problem, a Windows 11, or something else. Overall, though, it works well for us. Mostly this is being used with an Excel workbook which is loaded with macros. There are some Microsoft bugs which causes some of the controls to spontaneously resize when an external monitor is used; just be aware that this can be a problem and it’s not the fault of this monitor. There are workarounds. The instructions, which could be a bit more clear, indicate that you will need two cables to use this monitor: one to supply power and one to supply the video signal. We found that just a single USB C cable, plugged into the lower port, will do both. Colors on this monitor are not as accurate or vivid as you might get on a more expensive monitor, and it could be a bit brighter (a problem which persists, even when supplying power with a dedicated USB C cable). This has worked out well for our purposes, and I’m happy with the purchase.
