Expensive but worth it
Very bright, sturdy stand, amazing colors, low input lag, light weight, micro hdmi or usbc connection,works perfectly with asus tuf laptop, asus rog ally, s24 ultra, desktop gaming pc.Very impressive, one of the best oleds I’ve seen. No hdr and yet outperforms some of my oled hdr displays.Yeah it’s expensive but in the end it was either this or a uperfect display for 300 and the uperfect was lcd.The full hd resolution is actually surprising good, I thought it’d look pixilated but no.

Omni 1755 – expensive, but worth it
I wanted a portable monitor for my ROG Ally and Steam Deck… Needed 2 very specific things:1.) Passthrough charging. The deck and ally only have a single USB-C port so whatever monitor I bought would need to have the ability to pass power from the monitor to the handheld.2.) Freesync support. Limited power handhelds benefit massively from VRR, if you know then you know.I’ve tried 3 monitors before this one – an ASUS ROG 15inch one with built in battery, an Aorzopa (spelling?) one and a UPERFECT one. None of them could do both freesync and pass through charging at the same time.Finally tried this one – more expensive than the rest (by as much as £140 when comparing to the UPERFECT) but it charges the device as well as supporting VRR. For that, it’s a winner – even before talking about everything else.In terms of what’s good about it… lightweight, feels solid, metal kickstand, no dead pixels, magnetic cover and the aforementioned freesync+pass through charging support. 144hz is also nice.Image quality is good in sRGB mode. Contract is expectedly average considering it’s IPS and honestly 1080p at 17inches is pushing it a bit, but for these low powered handheld PCs it’s absolutely serviceable.If you’re looking for a portable, 1-cable gaming monitor for your windows handhelds then I can fully recommend this one, even if it is a little pricy

Screen works but for 1 day Maybe !
I have spent over 4 hours trying to get this extended portable screen to work. On set up it appeared to work . then the next day the screen kept blanking out. I have tried absolutly everything. I read reviews as i needed simple but this has been far from that. Apparently , the cable provided is insufficient and I have no idea what cable I now need to but to make it work. Waste of my time and energy. Just but an expensive mode and get it over and done with !

Nice lightweight monitor and comes with a sleeve
I bought this so that I can carry a second monitor with me between offices and home. It’s a lovely lightweight monitor and comes with a protective sleeve which wasn’t mentioned in the description. It’s powered by USB C so no need for an extra connection to mains power.

This 1080p VP16-OLED portable monitor is nearly perfect, but it does have a few minor annoyances. One great feature is that it can be powered using only a single Type-C cable, either via USB-A or the included power brick. The stand and hinges are solid and can be placed at multiple angles, and for gaming the screen can be rotated to TATE mode using the stand, very convenient. It’s very lightweight, making it easy to use as a portable, table/shelf, camper monitor. The screen cover is made of a good quality, velour-like material, but the flaps can be inconvenient to fold in place. It’s held in place with magnetic clips and does a good job of protecting the screen, but it takes some time with manipulation.I like using this monitor for gaming in FPS2 view mode, as the colors look great on it. Retro gaming and Switch games look good on this OLED screen, although some gaming emulation devices with 720p output may fit better once overscan is turned on. One issue I’ve noticed is that when the color format is set to auto, it sometimes selects the full color range when it should be set to limited. This only happens with some devices, and you may need to be on the lookout to manually set the color format to full or limited to avoid greyish blacks. The power button and indicator are located on the side of the monitor, and the indicator is set to off by default (If I remember correctly). I think it would be more useful if it was set to on, so you could easily see if the monitor is powered on.The integrated speakers are convenient, but don’t have great sound quality as expected. The audio jack is weak, but useful to have. I can’t speak to the Pentone validated colors, but out of the box I think this screen will be very appreciated for photo/video professionals who care about color accuracy, as long as 1080p is sufficient for their needs. The screen is very bright and should be usable outdoors. Purchased this monitor for my wife. She works in finance and when at off-site meetings with other associates, needs more screen area than a 16″ laptop provides. This helps her immensely.Cabling up this monitor is also nice due to the multiple options available. She is also able to power the monitor through her laptop, so she need not worry about also packing the power adapter.Quality of the image is also very good. Color hue is a bit different from her laptop, but this can be expected, and is not a problem. Sharpness and resolution is also very good.I have used other Viewsonic monitors in the past. Their quality and reliability have always been very good.
