Fabulous all in one. Many extras. Win11 and Linux
This is a quality well thought out machine, not only does it have the ink tanks but also lists of web apps in Win11 to help you create docs, fliers with it. It is really easy to get it working with Linux too, through the Cups system where a driver can be utilised. There are deb packages too. The on board feeder for scanning is a big plus just place a stack and off it goes. Easy interface on the front display which is a tad too small, but also an app available. All of this with a small foot print size, it fits neatly in my office. The quality of print and colours is remarkable as is the depth of scanning quality. After demonstrating printers for years for the main manufacturers this for me is a surprise and is quite a package for the money. Well worth considering for SOHO work!!!
Prints as expected
So far so good. Took bit to set up hence 4* and didn’t notice that thus is wifi only – not issue as it can sit anywhere the power cable can reach socket. No issue printing from PC or Lenovo tablet. If ink lasts as long as published and cost of ink around £12 per tank then will ge very happy. Quality of output good for price. Week i ordered price changed 3x ordered then price dropped £15 after 2days then 3days later increased to £70 more so pays to nonitor prices for while. Happy with what I paid but would have been even happier £15 better off
Great printer and economical
This is the best all round printer that I have had in years , easy to set up and good clear printing .Plus quick delivery as usual from Amazon
Fine could be better
Easy to set up, bit temperamental on WiFi printing but good speed and colour reproduction. Frustrating lack of guidance on double sided printing, which I’ve concluded is because you just had to feed paper in page by page but still searching in hope of guidance somewhere. This means you have to be at the printer when printing which is a bit tedious. Happy with print though, scanning not yet tried
A disappointment that died.
I was very enthusiastic about an eco-tank printer and this one appealed. Unfortunately, it is being returned after it pronted one page and died. Maybe it is the only one that has a problem where it says there is a problem and it needs to undergo repair, but that does not bode well. I declined a replacement and have ordered an Epson.
Canon printer
The Canon printer seems to work really well and was easy to get started from the online instructions.
Connectivity issues
This printer promised to be a good choice, with inks lasting longer and being more economical. I had no trouble setting it up, but that’s where the good news ends. The long and short of it is that this printer does not like connecting to my computer. The printer turns itself off frequently, and doesn’t reawaken automatically when I want to print something; so I have to remember to lean over and turn it on before sending a print job. I often have to cancel a pending print job, turn the machine off, and on again, before it can find my computer. And it takes SOOOOO long to print any images, I might as well go off and draw them myself. I’ve had Canon printers for a long time, but I think this will be my last one. Time to try another brand.UPDATE: After struggling for some time with the ‘wireless’ functionality, I found an old usb printer cable, and connected the printer directly to my mac (for some reason, this cable was not included with the printer – although they did provide an ethernet cable, which apparantly does not function with this model!). This solved all my connectivity problems. So I’ll upgrade the review from one to two star. As a wireless printer, it sucks. As a usb-connected printer, it works just fine.
It comes with ink.
Its A bit of A pig to get wifi working but once that is done all is good, Photo printing is better than I expected.
