Perfect 8TB Hard Drive For Extra Storage In My PC
I required additional storage and decided to go for the Seagate FireCuda as I wanted CMR and not SMR (shingled). My reason for this is that I do Photography and Video Editing, as such I will be reading and writing to the drive with many edits and not just as storage, archiving. I do additionally have other drives to backup my internal drives.I have used Western Digital and Seagate for many years and in that time I have only ever had one drive fail, and that was due to a a heavy item falling on the PC causing the heads to skip and damage the HDD platter.When you receive the drive you can check on the Seagate website using the serial number, this will tell you your warranty period; which for this drive is 5 years and 3 years for the recovery service. The drive also gives you manufacture date.You can also download from the Seagate website SeaTools, you can run this to check status of your drive and run long tests, repair etc. Another free tool you can use is CrystalDiskInfo which will also give you drive status information, these are in addition with Windows Tools or the operating system you use.With regards to installation, I am lucky as my PC has a front loading slide in drive bay so I did not need any SATA cables. Please be aware if you need to install internally and do not already have cables you will need to purchase separately, This is also the case if you need a HDD cradle (mounting kit).Very pleased with the HDD and performance, long may it last, please last a very long time, pretty please.
Perfect storage for my games
Firecuda 8TB. Great fast reliable storage.. It’s a hard drive !
So far so good, had no issues and does what it’s sup[pose to do. Mainly used as a backup drive.
Massive storage but quite clunky when in use.
Installed easily without issues but it does seem very noisy (clunky) compared to my other drives. When accessing or writing data it is easy to tell when this drive is being used as I can hear it so hasn’t given me complete confidence in the drive.Not sure if others have noticed this or have the same issue?Only time will tell if this is an issue or if I decide to return it for a replacement but data is backed up elsewhere just in case it fails.
Fast HDD compare to most of todays HDD’s
I bought this hdd, for 2 reason.1. I had a problematic disc where it was slowing down all my system.2. I had 6 HDD’s in my pc, so i can merge 3 of them in one.All my problems solved with this hdd. My system performance increase like %150.

Inexcusably loud
The drive is a decent price and read and write speed are good. But the drive is insanely loud. It sounds like its dying while in heavy use. Maybe ok if you aren’t in the same room. But when you are it is insufferable.
No instructions and no cables
The product came but there are no instructions on how to install it. Secondly there are no cables with it, so unless you already had a HDD like I did not (I have an SSD, this is just for storage of media etc), you will now need to do research of which cables you will need, and wait longer for them to arrive to install it.

After several weeks of usage, the drive works fine and does what it is asked — but this is by far the loudest HDD I have ever come into contact with in my entire life. Not only when it’s writing, but also if it’s simply reading it is easily and constantly audible across the entire floor. It’s almost impressive. Effortlessly at least twice as loud as anything I’ve ever had.
Seagate FireCuda HDD 8TB, Unità disco interna, 3,5″, silenzioso, affidabile e adatto per i giochi. Velocità 7200, dedicato all’archiviazione dei giochi con i quali si ha un boost notevole per quel che concerne i tempi di caricamento. Arriva ben imballato e sigillato. Lo consiglio sicuramente anche per l’ottima marca. Tempi di consegna Amazon Prime ottimi.
Ich habe mir die Seagate FireCuda 8TB Festplatte zugelegt, um meine wachsende Datenmenge zu verwalten. In Bezug auf die Speicherkapazität und die Geschwindigkeit erfüllt diese Festplatte definitiv meine Anforderungen. Allerdings gibt es ein kleines Problem, das zu erwähnen ist.Die Speicherkapazität von 8TB ist wirklich großartig und bietet ausreichend Platz für meine Dateien, Dokumente, Videos und Spiele. Die Datenübertragungsgeschwindigkeit ist auch zufriedenstellend und ermöglicht schnelle Zugriffszeiten.Leider ist jedoch der Lesekopf der Festplatte relativ laut. Während der Nutzung konnte ich ein deutliches Geräusch wahrnehmen, das mich gelegentlich gestört hat. Besonders bei leiser Umgebung oder in ruhigen Momenten war das Geräusch deutlich hörbar. Das kann manchmal ablenken und die Ruhe stören.Trotzdem möchte ich betonen, dass die Leistung der Festplatte insgesamt gut ist. Die Installation war einfach und unkompliziert, und sie hat bisher zuverlässig funktioniert. Die FireCuda-Technologie bietet auch eine verbesserte Leistung für Spiele und schnellere Ladezeiten.Ein weiterer positiver Aspekt ist die solide Verarbeitungsqualität der Festplatte. Sie fühlt sich robust an und bietet zusätzlichen Schutz für meine Daten. Die Festplatte wird auch nicht übermäßig heiß, was ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist.Wenn Sie bereit sind, das etwas lautere Betriebsgeräusch in Kauf zu nehmen, bietet die Seagate FireCuda 8TB Festplatte eine beeindruckende Speicherkapazität und Leistung. Für mich persönlich war der Lärm zwar ein kleines Manko, aber die Gesamtleistung und der zuverlässige Betrieb der Festplatte haben mich dennoch zufrieden gestellt.Mit 4 Sternen bewerte ich die Seagate FireCuda 8TB Festplatte, da sie hinsichtlich der Speicherkapazität und Leistung meinen Anforderungen entspricht, jedoch aufgrund des hörbaren Lesekopfgeräuschs nicht die volle Punktzahl erhält.
Ottimo hard disk interno molto veloce, con questo da 8tb sono riuscito a eliminare 3 vecchi hard disk e ancora avanzo spazio senza cavi e alimentatori montato all’ interno del pc, uno spazio enorme che ai tempi d’ oggi può essere molto utile, la difficoltà di montaggio dipende dal tipo di case che si possiede, per il mio difficoltà media perchè piccolo.L’ hard disk ha un’ ottima velocità per NON ESSERE SSD, silenzioso, ma ho notato che con un programma ha cominciato a far sentire che lavorava (rumore), comunque risolto tutto e senza quel programma và benissimo.Sono molto soddisfatto di questo prodotto.
