I needed a 10 Metre USB A to B Cable for another printer in the office. The Amazon description appears ambiguous, as it says in its description…”StarTech.com 10m/30ft Active USB 2.0 A to B Cable – M/M – 10m USB 2.0 Active a to b Cable – 33ft USB 2.0 a to b Cable.The 10 m/30ft cable supplied is in fact 9.2m/30feet. Maybe because the supplier is located in the US, and therefore favoured inches.I had presumed there were two cable lengths sold… 10 Metres or 33 Feet, depending upon inches and metric countries. Or..one variety so that both metric and inches countries received the minimum correct length.

My old Samsung printer would no longer connect to our Network as the driver was no longer supported . I saw the the USP port on the back of the printer but needed a longer cable. The printer is now connected to my computer and works great . It is not on the network but it works fine as a local printer.
Cable does work but watch out! In the picture of the product it shows a rather thin piece that repeats the signal in the middle of the cable.This is not the case when you see the product in real life! The repeater is much thicker than shown on the picture! It also has more than one repeater in the cable. See the photo i added.
