This book is just the right size, fits great in my apron & not sticking too far out. Love that it has a coin pouch with a zipper and multiple pockets to organize and sort receipts & cash. I’ve only used it for a few shifts but so far it seems like good quality & material does seem durable. I wish I would have branch out from just the plain black for one of the more colorful options. When I went into my new job a few of the other servers had the same exact one from Amazon but in various designs which looked really cute.
I bought this for my new serving job to organize my cash and receipts. It made me feel more comfortable and secure. It is the perfect size with cute colours and a variety of pocket sizes for everything. Perfect for the price, arrived quickly and well made.
Love love love! perfect size for a notepad to fit snug on the one side & keep all your receipts neat & tidy for the end of the day. Nice for it to have zipper pockets as well so you never have to worry about losing any change/bills!!!
UPDATE: 3/22/24Coming up on over 3 years used and I have to say it’s held up really well. The leather has worn down around the edges that rub against my pockets when I put it in and take it out, and around the bendy parts. Every couple of months I color in the white worn down parts with sharpie and you can’t even tell. I’m finally retiring it for now because my sister bought me a cuter one for Christmas (same company) and I’m looking forward to being more stylish. I’m keeping it as my backup because it’s reliable and I love it. I definitely still recommend it. I’m over 3 years in and I could keep going if I wanted to.I bought this for something a little sturdier and personal than those tall guest check books made of cardboard and cheap plastic that snap in half after like a week of using them. I got this one in the leather type style because I thought it would be sturdier than the plasticky glitter one, that I was sure would crack and flake after the plastic got old and less pliable. I have no idea if that’s what actually happens with these. But the leather one I got is wonderful. I wasn’t expecting it to last long because of wear and tear and all that, but 2 years later with daily abuse and wear, it’s still going strong.Some things: the seams are still all together with no sign of coming apart anytime soon. The leather isn’t flaking at all except for right along the seam on the inside of the middle part where it bends. I flip that thing backwards constantly and I’m honestly surprised it’s still looking almost brand new. All the pockets are pretty cool. I had to put a piece of cardboard in the part underneath the writing pad, because overall it wasn’t as stiff and sturdy as I’d like. I think it’s on purpose for peoples preference, I like a hard surface to write on but some people might find more value in the book being flexible. About 6 months ago I ordered a ruler type thing for a hobby and it came wrapped in a piece of pretty sturdy wood to keep it from bending during shipping. It happened to be the perfect size to fit in that little pocket behind where the writing pad goes, so that was really helpful. The zipper pocket, I don’t use much, but Ill be honest. I broke the zipper pull off on purpose because sometimes (most of the time) when I went to close the book, the zipper pull would be sticking out and would keep the book from closing flat. I’d have to physically move it with my finger to get it to go back down so that the book wouldn’t be propped open by the zipper. It was a little annoying. But after I took it off it worked perfect for me.So I had to make 2 small adjustments for my personal sanity and preference but they definitely aren’t necessary. This book is awesome and really sturdy. Also it’s easy to wipe sticky syrup off of which is a plus because at least once a month somehow I get syrup dumped in my apron pocket. It’s way exceeded my expectations for its life span, and I am definitely glad I went with this one. I don’t think I’ll have to replace it anytime soon.
Perfect size! A little bit shorter and slightly wider than a classic Amex billfold. I found it super convenient because I wear a single center pocket apron and it doesn’t get ruined when I bend over.So much more space for bills and things, still pretty slimline even with a notepad (provided you don’t use the coin pouch)
