Seagate is a trusted brand for me.
This came in a custom box that was made to protect the drive during transit. I have been using the drive now for a few months and it’s running error free so far. It just clipped into the cradle of my NAS and works well if a little on the noisy side. Not a real issue for me as my NAS is in the hallway next to my router and you only ever hear it when you are passing through.I use it for my Time Machine back ups of my MacBook, super simple and works works well. The large capacity means I can use it as a personal drive as well as storage to back up my Apple TV purchases as they can sometimes disappear from the service when the copyright holders remove the movie or swap it out for a 4K version that you need to re-buy. The point being there is a lot this drive can handle.I got this drive on the amazon 5 easy payments plan, that made this drive affordable to me as the option to pay over time is a great feature of Amazon when it’s available. Makes it more affordable with smaller monthly payments.I trust the seagate brand as I have purchased their drives in the past and they always work well so only time will tell but I hope this drive is just as reliable as the others I purchased in the past.

Good quality drive with security that there is free data recovery
If i am honest, I have avoided Seatgate for many years- probably 20 as I had a clutch of drives all starting to fail at the same time, but that was nearly 20 year ago. They are still a little louder I feel that the WD offerings, but I like the fact that it comes with 3 years (I think) data recovery protection which is a nice touch- otherwise I would have prob just gone WD again.Read/write times are around what you would expected for spinning SATA drives, averaging about 120mbs across my network when moving off the old PC server to this – but that transfer could have been the source drives speed also- I have yet to test from say an SSD or NVME drive. So far so good- like any HDD my experience is if they are going to fail, its usually early- these are setup as a raid 1 in my new NAS server- and will be keeping my most precious data- namely all of my dig pics of the kids and us. To be safe I always keep a second or 3rd backup across other machines- and will prob also look to put some on some kind of cloud storage to be safe.If anything changes Ill update- I am hoping and have been told that their reliability is now considerably better than previous years- I would think that is true because of the free data recovery they are offering with these drives. As with all amazon items- came speedily (next day) and they were very well packaged to ensure minimal/no risk of damage in transit.

A great drive from one of the best names in the business
Bought two of these to fit in a Ugreen NAS (backing each other up under a RAID 1 configuration). They work perfectly and I’ve had no issues so far. They’re obviously not solid state, so you do get a faint noise from them when they’re idle, and you can hear the heads moving when they’re under load, but this is entirely normal. If you don’t want any noise, you’d need to go for pricier SSD drives. Seagate has a great reputation and I’ve found these really sturdy and well built. They inspire confidence.

Works well with Lacie 5Big Thunderbolt2 20Tb raid enclosure
I bought this drive to replace a faulty drive in my Lacie 5Big Thunderbolt2 20Tb Raid array. Despite not being listed as a compatible drive for my 5Big on the official Lacie website, other Ironwolf Pro drives were listed, so I thought this drive should also work, and I was right. After mounting the drive in the 5Big enclosure, it began rebuilding the raid configuration. It has performed flawlessly since, and my Lacie 5Big is back working as good as new. If any of my other drives go down I will definitely buy more of these to replace them.

Solid hard drive unit
Bought 4 of these for a NAS. So far they have been fine, although noisier than I expected.

Reliable and easy to fit in a nas enclosure
I bought two of these for my Synology ds 918+and set up as a raid, in an additional storage pool. I did get a warning about compatibility with the ds 918+ but they work a treat.I previously had two 10tb ironwolf that are still working well.

Highly recommended
Let me start by saying: this is exactly what I needed for my multi-bay NAS setup. What I love:• Optimized for NAS performance. With AgileArray technology, dual‑plane balancing, rotational‑vibration (RV) sensors, and TLER, it delivers seamless RAID performance even in busy multi-drive environments.• Always‑on reliability. Built for 24/7 operation with an enterprise-grade 550 TB/year workload rating and an impressive 2.5 million hours MTBF.• Peace‑of‑mind warranties and recovery. Comes with a 5‑year limited warranty plus 3 years of Rescue Data Recovery service—nice knowing data recovery is covered.• Healthy NAS integration. IronWolf Health Management means your compatible NAS can monitor the drive’s condition and raise alerts proactively. • Strong performance specs. SATA III interface, 7200 RPM, and a beefy 256 MB cache keep things speedy and responsive. All in all, it’s rock-solid, enterprise-level quality housed in a consumer-ready 3.5″ form.Any downsides?• Spinning rust limitations. It obviously can’t match SSD speeds, but for mass storage, video archives, or backup—it’s still very fast.• Price per TB. It’s a premium product, so if budget is tight or you’re only building for light tasks, other options offer value.Final verdict:If you want a reliable, NAS-friendly drive with enterprise backing and peace of mind, the Seagate IronWolf Pro 8 TB is a standout. Perfect for creative professionals, small businesses, or serious home users who demand uptime and robustness.Highly recommend!

Definitely new
So far so good. Both drives were clearly brand new and well packed. Both went through full smart test and had 0hours running time. Currently adding them to the pool.Happy with the purchase 😊

It is still a little bit small to store my movies in./Thomas

Not a trustworthy seller. Upon checking the hdd serial number on seagate, no warranty was left on the hdd. Also no recovery plan as wrongly advertised. Most probably that is not an authorized distributor.

Het pakketje is zoekgeraakt bij DHL, ik heb gelukkig wel mijn geld terug gekregen.
