Got me organized
Short but very useful. As a creative writer I’m not very task orientated but I didn’t know how to get organised . This book has been a godsend.
Short guide to free and paid tools that can help with your writing
Compact and well written little book that covers recommends productivity tools for writers in six categories: writing software, distraction-free writing applications, saving material to read later software, research organisation tools, task/to do list managers, and file back up systems. Each section has at least a couple of recommendations with a bit of information about the tool and what it does and then links to where you can get the software. Some of the software is free, and some paid for by subscription or via a one-off payment.Mac and Windows users will find this a useful guide but there’s not much for other operating systems.Recommended.
When I picked this book up I needed direction of what I could need to start writing, or what would make writing easier for me. I have found at least one good suggestion in each section. I have downloaded 3 apps on my computer (one on my phone), bookmarked 2 sites, and will return to this book when needed. This was written in 2017, so it is a little dated (some products have different prices/plans, don’t exist anymore, or have new versions) so I’m knocking off a star for not just mention the name or what it was generally called when this book was published.

Il libro è molto breve e presenta alcuni elementari suggerimenti di utilizzo di applicazioni. Può servire a chi non ha un’idea di videoscrittura.
As the title says: this is the introduction to free and low-cost programs and applications that can help you while writing or researching or organizing/reorganizing your writing and, of course, there is the most important part: saving your writing.Since I write for a long time now, I tried most of those and I must say that I am old fashion type who prefers notebooks and pens in different colors for sketching my stories, but for organizing, I’m using Evernote, and for saving my writing I use both Dropbox and pCloud which is not mentioned here, I guess because it is European.
Ist jetzt nicht ganz überflüssig – aber fast. Man kann im Internet auch innerhalb weniger Minuten bessere Tipps bekommen. Ich würde es nicht noch mal kaufen.
