The RT0702CX4/2 is a 240V Router Trimmer, with powerful 710 watt motor, soft start for smooth start ups, variable speed controlled by dial to enable the user to match the speed to the application and constant speed control to automatically apply additional power to the motor to maintain constant speed under load, to deliver 10,000 up to 34,000 rpm.
The RT0702CX4/2 is equipped with rocker type on/off switch, anti-restart function, precision cutting depth adjustment, simple and efficient base lock system allowing the bases to be removed quickly and easily to install other bases.

Easy to handle, light, works well.
Best tool I have. Love this router. Easy to handle, light. I guess the only improvement would be the placement of the on/off switch. I think they’re all like this but I don’t find it intuitive. Apart from that, it’s great. It comes with a guide which is good enough to maintain an even line as it doesn’t wobble. I don’t use the measurements on the depth guide – that doesn’t seem every accurate. It’s a small router so the base isn’t big meaning you have to be careful when routing near the edge and you might need to ensure there’s enough support.

Good little router
Bought to put into a router table. As you would expect from a reputable manufacturer, this little trim router is reliable, has enough power to cope with deepish cuts, and is surprisingly quiet.
Great for CNC machines
This is a great router. I’ve purposely bought it for my cnc so I can’t comment on how good it is as a 1/4 traditional router. But for the cnc it’s a game changer as I upgraded the original motor that came with the cnc to this router. It seams to be way powerful enough for what I want it for.
Perfect trim router!
I’d previously purchased a much cheaper copy of this trim router. The genuine Makita item is far superior. It feels great in the hand and I have confidence that its been well made, and will last. Controls are easy to use, and accessories are both functional and intuitive. Great little router!
It’s a trim router not a plunge router but great to use, precise and feels quality.
Easy to use. Light weight. Solid. When you plug it in it wont accidentally start even though it only has one on/off button. Dust extractor fits well. Excellent purchase.

Found This Makita Router on Amazon for a Good sale price. Only downside came with a UK power plug live in Australia…. quality universal adaptor maybe required.
