When I needed an extended drive for my ps4 games, there were a few options out there. Lexar was the one I went with because of the write speed is top notch, very well built and sturdy, doesn’t overheat even after a solid game session, and is nice and compact. Plus it is compatible with nearly every device I own. All in all, great purchase. Also, 2 different plugs for USB and USB-C. I use it for my ps5, but this will also work great for anyone looking for extra memory for a camera or recording device.

I have owned many external ssd over my days for trailcam storage and editing. The lexar brand is as good as it gets,and the price vs performance is fantastic. compared to the samsung t-7 and adata se-880. The lexar sl-500 is right on par for speed and performance,for less money,and is built out of metal and has little to no heat development after long periods of use. Since the 90s,lexar products have never failed me . I also own the lexar Blaze for gaming and desktop backup for all my info,and it too has been a proven performer. I Highly recommend sl-500 external ssd over other competitors.

Perfect. Optimal speed, facing 0 lag while editing 4k LOG footage with effects and color grades, previously I used to edit on hard drive, it used to lag alot, this is the most efficient SSD that I have used by now, Sandisk and others are okayish , in this price range, this is best.
