Awesome expansion for ps5. Hard to connect to wifi after installation
I upgrade my PS5 of day one version console. I have a HUGE library of consoles and games. This PS5 was my latest purchase and I started to collect for this console. Now it has been only (2) month owning this system and I have 28 physical copies of games, and downloaded a good amount of games. My1st. SSD card was 1tb. I went through that like a month. I stated it got to be a better way to easy to access my SSD. Then I came across this device. YES !! When I seen this I ordered right on the spot. Along with few other items to make this PS5 my own version. One early Saturday morning got all the devices which I ordered. PS5 went under the knife. This was one of my main focus to the console. One of the purchase was a 2tb SSD card with heatsink already attached like my previous card. You can see in the photos. The installation is a piece of cake. This device can hold numerous of SSD cards. Just like the PS5 SSD bay in the console. There’s different holes to suit your SSD card. With device you get a cover to snap close with heatsink,but in my case my SSD cards has it attached. So when you attempt to use the cover it’s too thick. In my case the cover isn’t needed. But keep in mind when you remove the ssd cord you must power down shutdown not in rest mode. Then power down with the power with the included power adapter which attach to the rear of your console which your power cord plugs into. That turns off the power to the console completely. Before moving the ssd cord. Here’s the part can be a little challenging. Not to loose the small ssd screw. Don’t back out the screw all the way. I removed screw completely and after 7 drops in vertical position I lost the screw lucky I had a screw from my 1st ssd card. If you bent the satin a cord you void the warranty. After all of that this works AMAZING well. Wasn’t noisy at all, the speed was impassive got a read of 6548 ? From newly ssd card of 2tb. The heat resistant to the touch after 11 hours stream Wasn’t hot. Not sure to the fact my cover not on due to ssd cards have heatsink attached already. Place the housing has a hook which attaches to the PS5. It’s a most have for a gamer which is going to have HUGE amount of games.
