Excellent for gaming off in Windows or Linux
Got mine is Jan 2025, it’s now almost November and I’ve had no issues. I use the drive plugged into a 40GB usb-c port and game off it without issue, I would have gone for something faster but figured 2000MB/s was all I needed.I dual-boot into Bazzite and because all my games are stored on this drive, I don’t need to reinstall anything, as long as I add the drive as a Steam library location everything is just picked up.I’m thinking about getting another one if the price goes down during the sale period.
Great little Ssd drive 4tb
This small external ssd drive is much better than I thought it would be very simple to set up on my pc,it runs almost as fast as my samsung 990 pro,with hardly any difference in loading times,Installed cyberpunk 2077 on my pc loads really quick and plays without a glitch.A great solution if you are not confident playing inside your computer 5 star,will get an 8tb when I’ve saved up a bit excellent.

tiny drive just what needed for laptop and can just connect to phone also and transfer direct from phone if rushed for time or cant be bothered to to connect to laptop for kids pics etc
Does not work as advertised with Mac
This item is being mis-sold to Mac users. Despite being advertised with Macs in the brochure images and the claim of read and write speeds of 2100 to support media workflows for professionals (the majority of whom will be Mac users), Macs do not support the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 standard needed to reach these speeds; in reality, you will get no more than around 900–1,000 MB/s on any Apple Silicon Mac—no matter which cable, port, or adapter is used. This makes the X10 Pro no faster than cheaper drives like the X9 Pro, meaning the premium is wasted for Mac users. Get the X9 instead and save yourself some money. I find this type of advertising so disingenuous, and it puts me off using crucial again. This, and the fact that once formatted to AFPS, makes the drive incompatible with software and security updates. Really, this product should read in big letters: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MACS.
Compact, cool running and good value SSD.
I should have checked before buying but I discovered my M4 MBP doesn’t support the doubled-up USB protocol for the X10. So this Crucial X10 Pro is no faster than my other X9s SSDs on my Mac. But no harm done as the Pro 10 was cheaper than an X9, courtesy of Amazon Resale. The Aluminium Pro10 SSD is the same compact size but is better built than the plastic bodied X9. It stay’s reasonably cool during intense use and so far it’s been reliable. Recommended.
Fast, Portable and Reliable
I’ve always bought SanDisk drives, and while there’s nothing wrong with them I decided to try out this as at the time it worked out cheaper.Unfortunately I have not been able to use it on a macbook that can utilise its speeds, however i bought this with the forethought of purchasing my M4 Macbook Pro Max.Using this on my windows PC with a USB A 3 port has yielded great results. I edit off this drive when in Lightroom and DaVinci and there is no issues AT ALL!The drive doesn’t get hot, and its so small you can carry it with you anywhere – smaller than the SanDisk drives.

I’ve been using the Crucial X10 Pro 2TB for a few weeks now and I’m seriously impressed. The advertised speeds (up to 2100MB/s read and 2000MB/s write) aren’t just marketing fluff—this drive flies. Large video files, RAW photo backups, and even full macOS Time Machine backups copy across in minutes, not hours.I’m using it with both a Mac Mini (M1) and a Windows laptop, and the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface has worked flawlessly with both. It comes pre-formatted in exFAT, which is handy for cross-platform use, but I reformatted it for APFS on my Mac without any issues.Build quality is excellent. It’s compact, sturdy, and has a soft-touch rubberised finish that feels nice in the hand. Très contente ce disque SSD . Acheté pour une console Xbox . j’avais commandée le X10 qui c’est avéré pas compatible avec les consoles j’ai donc fait l’échange avec un pro qui lui est compatible .Une point important a mentionner , il est livrer avec un type 3 usbc vers usbc alors si l’on a besoin d’un adaptateur usbA il faudra qu’il soit de type 3 minimum sinon il ne sera pas possible de l’utiliser .J’ai utilisée ceux là : UGREEN Adaptateur USB vers USB C 3.2 10Gbps Lot de 3 Convertisseur Type C Femelle vers Type A Mâle Charge Rapide Data Sync Compatible avec iPhone 16 15 14 13 Plus Pro Max MacBook iPad Air Galaxy S25.-J’apprécie la taille du produit , petit format poche .-un voyant lumineux lorsqu’il est allumé .- Rapide .C’est un très bon disque ssd

Om man ansluter den till ett vanligt UDSB-C uttag, reduceras hastigheten avsevärt. Den måste kopplas till ett USB-C 3.2 uttag och med rätt kabel om man ska få ut all prestanda.Men om den kopplas in korrekt, då är den riktigt snabb och blir heller inte het som många andra externa SSD.Mycket bra support från Crucial!
