Crucial Reliability
I purchased this, as I needed a good reliable hard drive on a budget. I have found Crucial, to be reliable ssd drives. I don’t trust many SSD drives, as the life expectancy is not as good as HDD drives. Crucial is on my list of trusted SSD drives.

Perfect for the job apart from the missing screw!
The SSD performs extremely well and was easy to fit, apart from the fact that there was no screw supplied to hold it in place on the motherboard. For the sake of a fraction of a penny, Crucial could have included the small screw which is absolutely necessary to fit the SSD. That would have saved me a lot of time hunting around for a suitable screw and improved my overall customer satisfaction no end.

Fantastic product
I upgraded the memory in my Dell latitude computer and the increase speed of the computer is phenomenal. I would highly recommend this product.

Perfect for gaming
The manual and the manufacturer’s website weren’t very straightforward, so I had to google some installation tips. Yet, it works perfectly, and I am enjoying playing Baldur’s Gate III on it currently.

The cloning of my internal SSD worked as a breeze in conjunction with the SABRENT enclosure and Acronis for Crucial software set to manual option.

I am doing another new PC build I bought the smaller 500GB version of the T500 to load my operating system only. The new build motherboard supports PCIE Gen 4 transfer rates in the M.2 slots. For data storage, Installed two separate T500 2GB. The reason for two 2GB as opposed to one 4GB is so that there is mechanical redundancy of all my data if one of the drives fails. I did this on my previous build a few years back and it worked very well. The Crucial T500 performs as described with blazing read/wright speeds. My only question about Crucial SSD’s Is that I have found they are not quite as dependable as Samsung regarding longevity. I’ve used both brands over the last eight years, And Samsung appears to have better longevity. That said, I’ve never had a Crucial SSD fail during this time. Component cost is not a primary factor in my PC builds. Performance and dependability are. For the cost saving over Samsung, the cost saving with Crucial only makes sense.
