marketing manager who would like to streamline his/her responsibilities and improve profitability
Concise and well written, this book opened my eyes to the CRM possibilities that are available. A must for any sales manager, CEO, marketing manager who would like to streamline his/her responsibilities and improve profitability. Now I’ve just got to find the right CRM!
Five Stars
Good Joke Present for leaving colleague. Naturally you should be ashamed of yourself if you bought this straight.
Clear, concise information, lively layout, plenty of tips and pointers along the way
Usual, dependable Dummies outing and if you are used to the canon, you’ll know the drill. Clear, concise information, lively layout, plenty of tips and pointers along the way. An ideal starting point for those wanting to get up to speed with current CRM thought and developments, a good all rounder to keep at hand for those already involved in the field. Has a bit of an American slant to proceedings- also common with Dummies books- but not a problem in this area. Worth a look.
An essential handbook for essential customer relationships
An incredibly detailed and well thought out book on CRM. From setting up your business with CRM at the forefront, right through to implementation and analytics and improvement, Lars Helgeson takes the business owner through 325 pages of easy-to-understand, non-jargon to cover every aspect of CRM. Not everything will be applicable to every business, but the elements that are will be gold. Customer-driven businesses need to adapt and change almost constantly in the the digital age – this book is an essential handbook on building and maintaining those relationships. Recommended.
Too overall
Choosing a CRM system is fraught with issues. Best to check out the minimus pricing and how you get your data out if you want to switch elsewhere (at least one company will hold you to ransom). With GDPR there’s issues about what data you collect and how long you store it for with big penalties if someone successfully objects…generally the US are pretty lax, but storing clients’ kid’s names nd wife’s birthdays is a bit too far. This doesn’t really offer any strong guidanc.
Helpful if you are learning about CRMs
If like me you are learning about CRMs and know zero about them, then this is a great starting point. I run a small business that needed to set up a CRM and without paying for a specialist or worrying about the cost of getting an over complicated or useless system that makes the process even more difficult of dealing with leads.Having read through it, admittedly skim reading for the sections that I needed to know, I have finally chose a simple system with little cost that I can change to meet my requirements as the business changes. It helped me work out the best option for me at this time, and understand the big benefits of a good CRM that is right for my business and not over complicated and over expensive.
Superb learning support.
Effective customer relationship management is key to the success of any business and for years it has been a random thing which varied from company to company. The advent of a proper discipline and protocol is slowly revolutionising CRM both for the customers and for the staff. This super book from the For Dummies folks gives a wonderful in-depth walk through of everything CRM – from what it is, to how to implement the protocols – including the necessary software, which will make life so much easier for staff. It is very approachable and easy to read and understand and very comprehensive. As someone who has not working in business for many years I found it really easy to work through and very interesting and, even at my advanced age, I now feel as if I could walk into a workplace and totally understand their CRM protocols, whereas before I had no clue what CRM was!
Fantastic
Very well written and informative, plus incredibly helpful and effective. With no prior experience whatsoever of CRM, I was up and running in a few hours to a basic level, and soon got to grips with the rest of the book. I found it encouraging because it was so easy to follow, which kept me motivated and engaged.
I figured this book would be dated or about as good as any CRM book. After reading several others, I bought this one and it really surpassed my expectations by a considerable margin. We have already implemented a CRM but it did a great job of the planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of how it can evolve. I have a ton of highlights and bookmarks of things I am continuing to process about our implementation. I suggest it to anyone implementing a CRM who needs so thoughtful guidance.
Very good overview of CRM’s function in business with general guidelines in how to ensure successful implementation. I am shopping for ERP and CRM now, with no prior experience. Reading this over 2 days really helped.
