I’m using this in a new build with an A88xm-Plus motherboard, AMD A8-7600 and one stick of this RAM. You’re supposed to use dual channel RAM with this CPU but even though I’m only using one, it’s still very fast. You can overclock it (although I probably won’t be), it has a decent speed, I can multi-task without any problems and it has a fairly high quality plastic on it. I would recommend it to anyone as it’s great for the price. I’ll probably pick up another stick soon so that I have more GB to work with but it’s a brilliant piece of kit.
Great Piece of Kit, Great Buy
I bought two sticks of this RAM, totalling 16GB’s. I use it on an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard with an Intel i7 3770K CPU. I work as a 3D artist and animator, so I need as much RAM as possible, video editing software of any kind runs better when you have as much as possible. Adobe After Effects uses 80%+ of the RAM, this is the same no matter how much you have, these sticks are low cost, high quality and high capacity, so you can’t go wrong with them. I’d go for higher capacity memory over higher speed memory for most applications, its just more cost effective and the difference in those overclocked speeds are negligable, 1600mhz on a modern system is perfectly good.Also, you have to do some fiddling in Windows if you have RAM over 1600mhz for a Z77 system. So if you’re not sure about that, just use this RAM and you will get the best performance without too much messing about.The price has dropped from £45 to nearly £30 since I bought it, so I will probably upgrade at some point in the future 🙂
Nice performance from these sticks, albeit at a high price
This memory stick is great – although I paid a high price for buying it at the time I did and should have got it earlier… other than the price, the performance is great – faster than the 1300Mhz sticks I have in my other computers. I have not tried to overclock as yet as my motherboard does not allow this but the performance of the memory has not been an issue so far.
afordable and works well
bought this guy as I was short of cash when building my new pc so wanted to leave one of the tow ram slots free so I could got another later don’t think I will be doing that now as 8 seem plenty for most for my games and lots of other tasks I have had it 3 weeks or so and yet to see memory usage go past 35% so no need for any more for me anyway
Great Price, High Quality
I’m using a single stick of this ram and will probably get another one with a phenom x6, with a nvida 550Ti on a Gigabyte motherboard and for the value its amazing runs anything at high speeds and combined with a PCI-E SSD/HDD hybrid it doesn’t bottleneck the speed. Would recommend it to any system builder.
Great piece of kit
Picked up one of these this week, and added it to the two i bought 2 years ago.Great piece of kit, and all you need if you are running a motherboard that cannot overclock ram, like a h series (h97 in my case)Only negative , though common to many high profile ram sticks is some large cpu coolers may compete for space with it.

Had 1 of these sticks in my computer for around 4/5 years, still works like new. Recently decided to upgrade to 16gb, so got another 8gb. Everything is faster now that i’m using 2 sticks in in dual channel mode.
Overclocking fail
I have 2 8gig sticks in a crosshair v formula board. Good memory, not very good for overclocking though. Which is what I wanted it for
I rebuilt my computer using the components listed below. I built my previous system and several others. I used my existing Antec case and 430 watt power supply and miscellaneous 1Tb hard drives. I started from scratch and installed win 8.1 Pro rather than upgrading from Win 7. I am not a gamer, I do not overclock and I use Photoshop/Lightroom/MS Office but wanted a decent video card. I chose the I7-4771 because of the hyperthreading capability over the the I7-4770K and it was cheaper than the I7-4770 at the time. I also bought right over a 2 week period, I managed to get everything during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale except for the video card. Everything works on my case, speakers, lights, USB2, headphones, except the firewire since it is not supported by the motherboard. I have powered USB3 at the front of the case. I am very happy with the overall speed of the system and it boots up fast. My Kill A Watt says I am using about 85 watts as I am sitting here writing this. I have seen it get up as high as 150 watts. I had the CPU temp set at 60°C in the BIOS and it beeped at me while doing some heavy processing so I reset it to 70°C.My only nit is the USB3 connection to the motherboard does not lock, but that is minor. I chose the major components because I have used the brand before and had good luck (except my last video cards were EVGA, which were fine).
