I have recently started dabbling with chat GPT. I have found it useful for helping me with script ideas when I am promoting my books.This beginners guide is good for understanding the basics, and getting an understanding of how Chat GPT can help you with your needs, whatever they are.I found the book to be informative and it gave me some good ideas of how to incorporate CHAT GPT into my promotional endeavours, saving me time in the process.
Comprehensive Beginner’s Guide
If you’re new to using AI, as I was, this is a simple, and easy to follow introduction. It explains the basics, what it is, how it works etc. and takes you through use cases and how to interact with chatgpt. What I found most useful is the specific prompts. Understanding that you have to direct the machine, and not assuming it will be able to solve everything in one go, was a real eye opener.
Great introduction to ChatGPT
This is a comprehensive introduction to AI and ChatGPT. I enjoyed how it is written (clearly a human hand in this one). I would have liked some more examples of prompting though. Overall a great book in the ChatGPT topic.
Very disappointing.
I was very disappointed by this book. I am a book publisher myself and felt that the production quality and editing were poor. It may have been print-on-demand which would explain the book quality, but not the editorial content. The internal design was unimaginative with glaring errors, such as putting a heading at the bottom of a page. There was a lot of verbiage but not a lot of actual content. My overall impression was that the book was written and designed by an AI programme as a passive earning scheme on Amazon. I did read every page, but learnt very little, even as a complete ChatGPT novice. I cannot recommend anyone buy this book. You would get much more from your £10 by buying a pizza!

Complete waste of paper
I bought this as I knew very little about chat GPT. Having read through this list of barely padded out headlines I am literally no better off. There are ridiculous case studies that read like Mary had a problem understanding a legal issue and so she asked GPT to help and it did ! Wow.Absolutely useless. I would give it zero stars if I could. A better title would be ‘ I googled the subject and here’s some stuff I cut and pasted ‘. It may have been written by AI responding to some prompts that were not especially challenging.An hour after purchase it was literally in a bin.

It breaks down foundational knowledge of how and why GBT works the way it does without getting too in the weeds, quickly moving into very useful information on prompt structure for different use cases. I saw other reviews saying that this didn’t give enough ‘real world’ examples, but I didn’t find this to be the case at all. Every concept or use-case that is introduced is accompanied by an example beginner-friendly scenario, as well as hands-on mini-assignments for those who learn by doing.The writing itself is very concise and clear without seeming overly simplistic. The structure leads the reading through increasingly complex topics that feels like a natural progression. Overall, this is a great book. Highly recommend!The only criticism I have is that I wish that the cover was better and less AI generated-looking. As a designer, I almost didn’t pick this up because of the generic cover, but decided to give it a try (which I’m glad I did!). I imagine that I’m not the only one to feel this way. A book this useful should have a professional-looking cover that lends credibility to it’s content!
