Win7 64-bit defenitly compatible!
Well after reading most of the reviews for this printer I decided to buy one which I did! All god so far but I must say that I read the reviews saying about the issues on installation on win7 64-bit and I can say that at first I encounter the same problem! My win7 wouldn’t recognise the printer no mater what I have tryied! So I contacted CANON’s help support and they told me a few things to do, but guess what the problem wasn’t the driver or the printer or the win7 64-bit it was the USB extension lead!!! Now let me explain! Because I use the printer a little farder from the pc I needed an USB extension to reach to the printer so I went to carboots on sunday and I found one but surprise surprise its no good as each time I connect the printer via the USB extension the pc is saying unknown device, but as soon as I plug the printer without it windows recognise it straight away!!! So tat is my problem solved!!! So I can simply say that yes it’s a good printer which works with win7 64-bit too!!! Recommended and I hope that this review help other deciding to buy this printer which I believe is a very good deal for anyoane who need a printer for every now and then as I had before an inkjet one but the ink was very expensive and if left unused the ink was drying off very quiq so not a good deal at all! Reasonable Value MFP
Easy to install, is a bit noisy when printing engine starts. Main complaint is than the control bar the buttons are very hard to read on the black background either they should be illuminated or the titles picked out in white so that they can be easily read, a case of poor user design. Apart from this reasonably good value for money so far.
Good Machine
My old broken machine was identical but when I tried to connect it would not. I contacted technical support and after checking my computer I was advised to buy “Firewall” and basically they would not tell me how to connect it unless I bought “Firewall”.I am 74 and could not be bothered. I phoned a tech friend and he sorted the connection in minutes.Basically machine excellent, support terrible.

I have had this for some time now and have found it to be reliable and provides good print clarity. The cartridge has lasted a fair time so I am pleased to say I would buy another Canon Laser Printer. Delivery quick and packaging good.
Beware things are not always as they seem
This is a fabulous little printer, I went for this as I already use an older version and it has been good. There are issues, the two software discs supplied for installation do not work. I was unable to instal so requested a return and refund. The seller would not pay my return costs so I tried again to instal, no success. I went to the Cannon website and downloaded the software and was able to instal. I would rate the printer highly but not the seller. I will not buy from this seller again as they could not accept there was a genuine problem.

printer was easy to set up and and carries out printing and copying very efficiently.
Noisy? not really
A few reviewers have said this is a very noisy machine, I can only assume that they use it for long periods of time which it was not designed for. I find it no noisier than my ink jet printer. When on standby it just sits quietly with a little green light blinking to show it is ready and alert. When required to work it does so instantly with a polite clunk and a whoosh and your printed page is delivered in seconds. The only down side was that I found it very difficult to locate a spare cartridge, very few net sites stock it. For infomation it is the LBP6000 series cartridge number 725. cost £48, which is par for the course with all printers these days i.e. sell printer cheap and arm & leg for the ink.

Its a good product just that it doesn’t have color so i had to return it
