I really needed these because lo and behold my handles broke last week and my husband was not home. Luckily these were super easy to use and install. They also locked up and opened up so they were functioning well which helps me when my husband was gone. I am so glad that I had these and they are still lasting even with greasy fingers and my child trying to monky swing off of it.
This is a digital lock, but not a smart lock as it does not have smart features like Alexa or Smart Phone operation.The lock appears to be of good quality and the installation is fairly easy. The lock works well and programming is easy.Night time use can be a bit difficult if the area is not lit as the buttons of the lock are not lit.Functionality is good. A bit uneven on the look as the digital lock has rounded corners on the edges yet the handle has 90 degree square corners on the plate.Overall a well priced lock that looks and functions very well.
This is a good quality and nice-looking smart door lock combination for a front door. The material is solid with a nice finish and the smart lock has great features with plenty of programming options, lots of codes without being overly complicated. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles like Wi-Fi capability and app control, but it does the job, particularly if you are looking for a simple smart lock that is easy to set up and use.Installation easy and straight forward and only takes a few minutes. Unfortunately, the lower pull handle did not match my particular door/handle set up and I will need to do some modifications in order to install it. This is more my fault for not properly measuring and using the dimensions shown beforehand. However, in the description it states “Easy to Install: Designed for installation with a single screwdriver, perfectly tailored to fit all standard U.S. left- and right-handed doors…” which at the time I just assumed it would fit any door, but the description is specifically and only about the right and left-handed options. My bad. In any case, I installed the smart lock and found it super easy and had no issues whatsoever with programming the lock. Once I modify the door, I will be able to install the pull handle. Just make sure you measure properly before ordering to make sure it fits your door as I should have.Overall, this is a nice front door lock combination that gives you the ability to program the lock while also providing keyed backup. Perfect for use in rentals or just if you have multiple people, without the need to have keys on you at all times. I installed this on my Airbnb, and I have almost entirely positive things to say about it. The keypad is intuitive, and installation was very straightforward. It fit a door that already had a deadbolt, although I did need to enlarge the deadbolt hole slightly with a paddle bit. Honestly, I preferred doing that over having a wobbly fit.The fixtures themselves are well made and fit snugly, though it’s worth noting that the outer casing is plastic. I personally would have preferred something sturdier, like metal, especially for a front door.Functionality-wise, this lock offers a lot of flexibility. You can create up to 100 user codes — including admin codes, general access codes, and one-time codes — which makes it ideal for managing access for guests, cleaners, or friends. The multiple unlocking options (codes, keys, and even one-time codes) have been really convenient.I like that the keypad is backlit for easier use at night. One thing to be aware of: the lock’s default beep is fairly loud, but there’s a silent mode available if you prefer a quieter experience.Overall, it’s a solid, easy-to-use smart lock that’s been working great for my rental property.
I already had a combination style lock but there were 2 digits on each button and only a 4 digit pin required. So, I wanted something a little more hard to get lucky with guessing. This is much more secure and much better looking. And, I love the handle on the inside rather than the knob. Much easier to open. Easy to put together especially if you already have a similar lock installed. The only negative I can give it is the instructions. The instructions for installing it were decent, but minimal. Not an issue if you already have a similar lock. The instructions for programming were pretty confusing. For example, it doesn’t say that you HAVE to use 6 digits. It’s also somewhat confusing on how to program and what buttons to press. My daughter and I were able to figure it out with much trial and error. But, it functions well and smoothly and is much quieter than my last lock. Overall I really like it and hope the batteries last as long as my last one. Improve instructions and it gets the last star.
