Great hit for creative play
My 12y old grandson loved building the rollercoaster, then proceeded to build his own version with more parts he and his friends found on ebay. A great hit with all of them for hours of creative play

This toy was an absolute hit with my nephew from the beginning! Easy to put together, lightweight and with a small motor to run the carriage on the rollercoaster! Ecellent
Will work … eventually (probably)
We did have a missing stabilizing clip but still managed to get it working.If you can’t get it working initially trying sitting a heavy weight(s) on the base. You may also need to weigh the front of the car down, we used a lump of blutack and a coin. I found you have to be very precise with the weight and how it is positioned.Initially we could only get it working doing a maximum of 7 loops but at present it has completed over 20 loops without fail.The structure is flimsy but it should work if you persevere.
Knex stem rollercoaster
Bought for grandson who lives building things . Good value for money and quite big when made. He likes the fact it has a chain etc to go around the track and he can use the pieces to design his own items when he’s done with the rollercoaster. For knex when it’s built it seems quite sturdy. Keeps kids entertained for ages
It works with a bit of blu tack added :-)
I saw some reviews saying it didn’t go round the loop or hook onto the chain itself. We had no problem it going round the loop but it wouldn’t hook on the chain without a little nudge. I added a lump of blue tack to the front of the car to make it a bit heavier, problem solved :-). Works a treat now. The blue tack should also help if you’re having problems with the loop.

Purchased this to go with my other knex roller coasters as it was on offer. Good enough kit but a few issues:1) The chain is fiddly to get working. I followed the instructions to the letter and it was either too lose or too tight and either the chain came off or the car wasn’t picked up. Had to move the top cog closer to the top to get it to work2) One small missing part – thankfully I had the same piece in another kit. Could be frustrating if you don’t have a spare as it will take time to arrive!3) Whole thing moves – I don’t remember this being so bad on my other coasters – Seems to jump around the table far to easily.Also the experiments all just feel tacked on to sell the coaster – if education was the main purposes they could have skipped the chain and motor and just done a cheaper kit.
Pieces missing and not the working — do not risk it
I have lots of knex products and generally like them very much.However this particular item had various pieces missing to the point it was rendered defective. It doesn’t work. What a waste of money and a Christmas present for my son.I can somewhat appreciate maybe one or two pieces missing in a set of this size but there were LOTS missing and of different kinds.I would not risk buying this as being left as unsatisfied as I am.

Leuke achtbaanset voor kids van 7-8 jaar. Voor jongere kids alleen om te kijken en een beetje mee te helpen.Frustrerend als het karretje niet door de looping gaat. Dit lijkt eerst onderdeel van de set te zijn om te experimenteren, maar ook met extra gewicht gaat de wagen niet door de looping. Oplossing: karretje insmeren met siliconenspray.

Considering what I personally considered to be limited playablity, my son LOVES this set, wasn’t too hard to put together, and he has already used it for hours. Only minor downside was some missing parts, but we worked around them.
