Life

[ Excellent Cooling Performance ] – Superbly-engineered omni-directional heatsink provides efficient CPU and motherboard zone cooling, with superior bi-ped aluminium fins and high-quality copper core base.
[ Extended Lifespan ] – Rolling bearing reduces rotational friction, supports heavy workloads to offer better reliability, and prolongs service life to up to 40000 hours.
[ Ultra Quiet PWM Fan ] – Akasa 92mm PWM fan is regulated automatically by CPU usage so under normal PC work load the fan speed is low ensuring quiet computing.
[ Easy Installation ] – Intel approved pushpins will automatically slide into the correct position without any mounting adjustment.
[ Wide CPU Compatibility ] – Designed for Intel Core i9, i7, i5 up to 115W with LGA 1200/1151/1150/1155/1156/775.

Customers say

Customers find the CPU cooler excellent in quality and value for money, particularly as a replacement for Intel stock coolers. The product effectively reduces CPU temperatures and works reliably, with one customer noting it performs excellently in a 24/7 NAS setup. Customers appreciate its ease of installation and mounting, with one mentioning the push pins provide reliable retention. The noise level receives mixed feedback, with some finding it very quiet while others consider it too noisy.

Decent cooler
Perfect fit, decent noise. Exactly what I needed for my old build.

CPU cooler.
Haven’t installed it yet but appears to be a quality product. Prompt delivery and well packaged.

Good quality CPU cooler
Great quality cooler, very effective. Very easy to install and good value for money.

Better drop in replacement and small for compact builds.
This was for the Copper Cored version – offers a good upgrade from the stock cooler and yet has the same push connector fixing. So you don’t need a backing plate installed. This might mean you don’t have to take the board out which can be a pain on an existing build. Nice and quiet for a 65W TDP part – not sure I would expect the same performance on a 90+ TDP processor (Can’t confirm, didn’t have one to try). Ended up in a ITX build with an Intel i7 7700t and it’s almost silent (just a slight thrum when you place you ear next to the case).

Works Surprisingly Well
My 11 year old Core 2 Duo E8400 based system has been running quite loud for a while now. A recent spate of hot weather only made the irritating whine of the CPU fan even more noticeable. Things seem to have gotten worse slowly over the years and I’ve since found out that the thermal paste that is used as a thermal transfer medium between the cooler and CPU degrades over time, thus reducing the efficiency of the cooler. I had noticed that even mundane tasks would have the CPU cooler fan spin up to over 2,000 rpm on the Intel stock cooler that came with the CPU.So, I purchased some expensive thermal paste and decided to remove the cooler and clean everything and reapply new thermal paste. When I removed the cooler, I was shocked as there was literally no paste at all! The surface of the coolers cold plate that makes contact with the CPU was shiny and smooth, no hint of paste at all! Similarly, the CPU was almost spotless. Evidentially, over the 11 years of almost daily use, the thermal paste that was pre-applied on the Intel stock CPU cooler had crumbled to dust. No wonder my CPU cooler fan was going mad.I reapplied a dab of new thermal paste onto the cooler as this was easier to do and then set about trying to remount said cooler. One thing I’ve learned, is that used Intel coolers don’t remount that well. In two such cases I’ve experienced, the push pins have had one of the two splayed pins break off. Anyway, I needed a cheap replacement. I didn’t want to spend any real money on something that was only going to be needed for perhaps another month or so. I am planning to gut this machine and replace the internals with an all new system. In the meantime, I still need this machine so did a quick search on Amazon and found a really inexpensive cooler from AKASA compatible with my ancient socket 775 CPU.This cooler came with thermal paste pre-applied, so no fiddling or expensive thermal paste required. After cleaning off the CPU once more, I mounted this cooler flawlessly, all four push pins clicking firmly into place. Well … what a difference! At idle, my CPU now runs at just 29C and ripping a DVD while listening to an audio book saw peak temps at 41C. This is in contrast with the 90C I had before and idle temps of 42!At under £7 this AKASA cooler cannot be beat. Heck! I spent more on a 8 gramme tube of thermal paste for my old cooler! The value for money for this thing is incredible. Yes, it’s a basic cooler, but it does its job and does it quietly and effectively, so why spend more?Suffice it to say, I am impressed with this cooler from AKASA. The old adage “You pay for what you get.” isn’t always an absolute. This inexpensive product from AKASA has saved my bacon. Well done to AKASA for producing this. It works well, is quiet and at an unbeatable price. The bottom line; Don’t spend more on a cooler unless you have to.

It does the job, but in a loud way
It is a good cooler if you consider the purpose for it. Gets the job done keeping the CPU cold. But it comes at a cost. I am not talking financial cost, when the CPU is in use, this thing is very loud. I used computers for more the 20 years, my first machine was a 486, but never heard such an loud CPU fan.If you have the machine in the same room , then do yourself an favor and look for something else
