Great NVR – Super Easy and Reliable!
I’m really impressed with the Hiseeu 8-Port PoE NVR! Setup was super easy — just plug in the cameras and it connects right away. The video quality is super clear, even at night, and I love that everything runs through one Ethernet cable for power and data. The app works great for checking in remotely, and motion alerts are fast and accurate. It’s been running nonstop without a single problem. For the price, this NVR is an absolute winner!
This is my third Hiseeu DVR that has let me down within two years. Let me start with the warranty process. When You call someone answers to confirm your email and phone number, then they give you a trouble shooting tip. Thereafter you will only be contacting them through email as they will not answer the phone.I was trouble shooting for about a week via email until they decided to completely stop responding.I ended up purchasing a new Hiseeu DVR after getting the complete run around and getting ghosted as my eight cameras were still good.Come to find out that the new DVR’s don’t support audio and motion detection.I contacted the seller again by phone and was told to purchase all new wiring for the cameras then was hung up on.In the end I just returned the new DVR and purchased another brand. Good riddance Hiseeu!
Grinds my gears when people come on here and post up bad reviews because they didn’t harness the knowledge to operate/use an item correctly, or couldn’t install the item correctly. The issue I came upon were derived from a couple of different sources.1. If you have an existing system, or some manufactured cameras, particularly models that don’t have a reset button, you will need to change the IP to that camera through your old system BEFORE you unplug and attempt to incorporate on this NVR.2. This should have been 1, but the first thing you need to do (after installing your SATA hard drive) is boot up your new NVR. Go through the wizard, set up your password, and format your hard drive by going to STORAGE > Hard Disk > click the #1 Box > go to the bottom of the page and select Format > OK.3. Now, go to NETWORK >TCP/IP > Enable DHCP > then the last field says PoE NIC IP Address. Think of this field as the same as your Router IP on your home network, but for security reasons, and to avoid conflict with your network, MAKE IT DIFFERENT. Something like 100.2.0.1, 90.60.0.1, or 67.57.0.1. (2 random, up to 3 digit numbers, followed by .0.1). After doing this be sure to select APPLY” At the bottom of the page. Your NVR is now ready to accept cameras. NOTE: Since DHCP is enabled, some cameras can skip this next step by using the reset button on the camera after being connected to the new NVR. But follow those steps EXACTLY.****This step is only needed if you are plugging direct into the NVR.**** If your cameras are connected to your home network AFTER getting POE from a switch, then connected to your router, you should be fine without resetting the ip because this NVR will display cameras with existing IPs on the network, and newly assigned IPs via PoE from the NVR.4. Now, go to your old NVR, or camera app that allows you to edit the IP address. Change the IP address to sync with your PoE NIC IP Address you just created and to do so you follow the same first, 3 numbers, but change the last number to anything from 2-255. I made all my cameras in sequence starting at 100. save your settings, unplug your cameras, unplug your old DVR/NVR, and connect to your new system. boot up, go to Camera, and you will have a list of cameras with green arrows next to them. Add your cameras by clicking the green arrows, wait a minute for the camera to incorporate, and voila! Because you already formatted the HD, got your DHCP enabled, and have taken a deep breath, you are finished and your NVR is recording. It is nice to know of intrusions before they happen or, like in my case, can the dirtbags before they haul off with all your welding equipment.Hope this helps someone! the product is great. Bad reviews stating this doesn’t work with their cams just mean they didn’t know what they were doing.
Great nvr!! Its so easy to use and the tech support is amazing.
I Lost count how many systems I already purchased, and I wont change it. Very good system and easy to use and setup.
Newest Update..Tried using their guard app and NO DEVICE FOUND, I have a IP for it and its on my network.Tried scanning the QR code on the nvr and NO SITE LISTEDBe smart buy something betterBought a replacement nor since my hisseu went down.It died less than a year later.Bought another name brand and it was D.O.A but not from Amazon. So it got sent back and I bought this and instantly my cams are back up.My hisseu setup lasted about 5 years.Something should be OK.Update,The damn thing keeps making my cams disappear and they are Original HISSEU cams from my dvr kit.And when I try to reload it it asks for my pw and again the pw doesnt want to work so I have to keep resetting the nvr.I think its about time I just get a old computer and use BLUE IRIS.My ptz still is not up because this nvr uses a different ip so I have to figure out how to get back on my ptz and change the settings. This is the last nvr I am buying and no more generic cams.New Update…Total garbage, today I look at the one camera that still worked and its dead.So be smart stay away from HISEEU cameras and nvrs.UpdateLeft unplugged for a few days and both cams came back then a few days later both cams dropped then after a few mins one came back and the left one still is not coming back again.
