Not the most robust printer but good for the price. Setting up the printer is easy but connecting to a smartphone isn’t all that simple but got there in the end
Worst printer I ever owned
Why did you choose this product over others?:This is an awful printer. Regularly printing stops halfway, and when this happens, it cannot be powered off with the on/off button, the printer has to be yanked out of the socket. Firmware update doesn’t help either. Oh, and it drinks the ink. I really hated my previous HP printer, but at least that worked reliably.Can’t wait to use up the ink and just chuck it in the bin.

Set-up was a dream!
After the printer of all nightmares gave up, I ordered my first ever Canon printer.Upon opening the box and finding a two pin plug, I was slightly dismayed but my faith was restored when I not only found a three pin plug, but an instruction manual! Something that my previous printer had lacked.Set-up was a dream! In less than ten minutes, I was printing from my android smartphone and my Amazon Fire tablet using the Canon app. Best of all, the printer connected to the WiFi almost inmediately and the ink cartridges were easy to install.One of the best things about this printer is the little screen on the front. Although I had the instructions that came with the printer, the instructions on the screen talked me through the process and I knew what was going on at all times.The speed of printing isn’t the fastest but if you just want a printer for the home for occasional printer, it’s perfect. I print on average around 100 sheets per month.Most of my printing is from my android phone and my Amazon Fire tablet and it seems to be compatible with both.The printer comes with a blank and a colour ink cartridge but I’ve signed up to Canon’s Pixma ink plan which was really easy to do and offers lots of different usage options.Overall, this printer is excellent value for money but I’m particularly impressed with how easy the set-up was and that an instruction manual is supplied.
Unsightly paper tray …
Not actually printed anything as yet so my review may get worse .. but on set up one thing I am not happy about is the lower try , once you load it with paper it has to be left sticking out by 2 inches , why I don’t know but it makes it very unsightly, my old pixma the lower tray slotted all the way in giving a much nice look .. no idea why they have designed this one this way … big let down for me
Very good quality printer, with great functions for a great price
Very good printer, print quality is very good, we’ve printed our wedding photos and invites using it and everyone thinks they are professionally printed. Wireless connectivity and the app printing works really well, instructions are very clear, no issues and actually fairly quiet compared to some others. No paper jams either whicb is always nice to avoid
