I’ve had my LG TV for about 5 years. I fought with the first remote a long time, and thought it was defective. I ordered a replacement, it’s no better than the first! Found this, read reviews, and decided to give it a try. Holy Cow!! It’s soooo much better! Every function works effortlessly, immediately. I wish I would have found this long ago. If you’re having problems with your remote, just buy this, and be happy!
It was a great buy. It was better than the remote that came with the TV and it lights up. Didn’t have to program it or anything. It was great.
My LG TV is from 2015. Remote work right out of the package. Added batteries of course.

Worked right out of the box. No programming neeeed for LG Tv.It actually operates way better than the original lg wanna be magic remote. This remote transmit way faster with no delay.Cons for me:Each time I press the volume buttons it would turn on my soundbar when I really don’t use it for regular tv channels. Only for a movie night or so I’ll sync it though Bluetooth.Maybe it’s a good thing though because that soundbar use to auto connects or ask me if I wana connect then it stopped doing that when I got the lg magic remote. It would try to connect when it feels like. But now with this new remote that thing is booting up at every second I press the remote to connect audio.LG needs to do business with the manufacturer of this remote and cut ties with whoever is making all LG remotes as they are literally trash.
